Guys, for this Sunday, lets come in RED COLOR SHIRTS. Not all of us have the dark blue LYN jersey and we're not coming under the LYN banner, so lets do red. Do quickly go buy a cheapo FULL RED shirt and not red stripes or half red or pink or anything but red. Get a full red shirt, guys! I'll bring along the bibs just in case there's color clashing with the opposition.

Tournament this Sunday

Woah, MU red or Liverpool Red or Arsenal Red?? ha ha just joking.

Eric,

Wanna sort out some positioning so that it won't be kelam-kabut when we sub.
and also you guys better get to know the FIFA rules 1st like back pass, out ball, blah, blah, blah

Just my suggestion, either we go 2-2 format, or 1-2-1 (which the left & right wing have to be faster than Lionel Messi to come back for defence)

I have put down my prefer position & Glozz or course, maybe we can still adjust here & there when we have all the preference, captain will have his say.
Well, just to make this forum more futsal stuff to discuss

4. abu
5. faisael

I would suggest a base 2-1-1 or a 2-2-0 'box' sitting square in the mid/def zones; to make it very simple and uncomplicated. I would also suggest the following:

1. giotto (MC/FC)*
2. Pono (MC/FC)
3. King (DC)
4. abu (MC)
5. faisael (MC) *
6. kang (DC) *
7. sthon (DC)
8. naz (DC) *
9. glozz (GK)
10. giotto 2 (MC/FC)

I would prefer Kang in the middle though; but that means numerically-wise 'bit unbalaced. Just my 0.5 obviously.

Guys,
Provisionally, we go with the positions as Pono/Abu/Sthon/glozz mentions but we'll discuss formation on match day but we'd go with 1-2-1(diamond formation) or the 2-2(box formation) as and when needed. There's a few things that needs to be pointed out before the game starts. I'd prefer if we can meet up a day or two before the game but i guess we don't have anymore friendly games from now till Sunday, so we have to talk on Sunday.

Bottom point is, RED is the color we playing, so please dont come in any other color.

Added on November 25, 2009, 2:20 pmglozz,
Your formation is well worth a look too. Sometimes, defence is the best offence. If we're not gonna score, at least we don't concede.

We have no recognised striker since Leon left but im bringing a friend and i hope he can nick in a goal or two but he's not exactly what you call a poacher or finisher but he'll come in handy.

Just my opinion; but 1-2-1 is very complicated since mids need to communicate with def; and things can get messy; since there's only 1 def; not to mention that we've not exactly trained. So best to keep things simple.

Playing a 2-2 doesn't mean we're playing defensive. We're just keeping our shape tight and compact; since most of us here have not trained on formations. Putting everyone else who's not a def into midfield will ensure that we don't get carried away with attacking too much. Playing a straight square BEHIND the middle line when we do not have the ball; will at least ensure that we've got the basic positioning and zonal defending settled.

Howard,
Khai is free to read as much as he wants. At the end of the day; everything will descend into chaos anyway. smile.gif

well with 2-2 there are better chances of having a defender during counter attack.

especially ... with us literally can't fall in and fall back..

Deep discussion? Nolarr; quite simple stuff larr. Best to keep things simple. Do a simple box formation behind the middle line; mark space. Simple. Anything else; we take it from there. smile.gif

Yea.. anyway my friend is very good at marking runners or dribblers.
If we have 1 opponent who is such quality. Play with him in the
