It was a good session today, all turn up, was expecting last minute FFKers but surprised all turn up and came on time. Good to see that.

We won 4-2 with goals coming from Jonno, Ronald, Kang and Allan while we conceded 2, one of which penalty and another from a bad clearance. But in totality, it was a 1 sided affair where we dominated the midfield and defensively we were rock solid.

Jon the new guy was brilliant at the centre. Good footwork and ball control at the centre. Mike played very well at centre while Kang was intercepting lots of balls too. Ronald offered lots of attacking options with Allan in his predatory instincts best. Of coz Pono's friend was brilliant at the wings and Jonno the diver didnt dive that much but still scored a stunner. Defensively, i must say adrian and aw13 was superb. Both of them held the line very well and communicated with each other with the superb offside defensive line and etc. I didn't have much to do with a good defence in front of me.

Hard to pick a man of the match but i'd go with my trusty John 'AW13' Terry. Good aggresiveness inside the pitch and save our butt a couple of times. But conceded a penalty and received a yellow too. Haha. But dude, i believe the yellow card was just to please the fired up Indian dude who was yapping away.

Each of us paid RM14, maybe a lil expensive compared to futsal but the fun is 10 times more than futsal. Plus, its a really nice pitch too. Special thanks to James for volunteering to be a referee, a strict one too. He thought if he come as referee, no need to pay to be part of the game. Little did he know this game cost him RM300.

Yeah it was fun as hell. Many thanks to Eric who took the trouble to book the court and pay in advance. Thanks too to James the next FIFA referee candidate. The yellow & red cards were hilarious. Adrian & Aaron were both rock solid in CB, and very vocal too. Excellent for the team!

My Man of the Match was........... Eric Chen!! And his super one-handed save!! Woo hoo!! rclxms.gif

Anyway... I felt we could have used the wings a bit better. But having said that, I also neglected Khai a few times, coz the pitch was so nice I wanted to try Hollywood balls tongue.gif ... Sorry bout that bro!

I suppose I was caught up with playing on a sand-less and stone-less field for the very first time in my life!!

Naz,
How was your wife's cooking? Be honest, she's not a registered forummer here. Bet it sux rite?

Yeah, JTX is the new guy. But hey, the one handed save was nothing la. If it was struck with more power, i would have missed it. Having said that, my positioning prior to that save was bad, i was caught in no mans land but thankfully i tipped it out for a corner.

But i love the pitch, i can't see us playing at any other pitch, besides GIS. That is unless we try out MPSJ or 3K or Wisma FAS, all of which has very good natural grass too.

Lunch was good, but I have to give credit Kraft for their brilliant Mac n Cheese! Okla she added the vege and pepperoni, so 1/2 mark (yes, she's not registered, thank god. She might get the wrong idea if she read Waile's posts!)

Jon was solid in midfield. Had good understanding with Mike and Kang.

GIS all the way!! And this is the first time where I don't have to clean or wipe down my boots after a match! In fact, the remnant dirt from USJ 1 padang 3 weeks ago was cleaned off!

i m in the midst of recognising all of the player....with the nick name and real name....correct me along the way...
Mike - would be the cente midfielder being just mike, he was really good at midfield
eric would be giotto - so far i saw ur goalkeeping skill and a brilliant save too....nice to meet you,dude....
Kang - dunno the real name yet but he has one great assist and a goal....funny guy....
khai - i know to call him khai and dunno his real name....very fierce oh....but he can pump good crosses...from right wing
Doggyjames - is the referee....

the best artificial field that i played till now....

John,
Should have intro-ed all the guys to you before, but i only know your name half way thru the game. And oh, trust me, today's save looks more flattering than im actually capable of. I'm possibly the 4th worst GK after Kang, Abu and Mike. That 2 GK skills...lets just say most of the time it made most of us laugh tho we're serious when we play.

But lets do it now.

1. oldman - Kang, the thin dude that talks more than he plays
2. miketee - Your midfield partner
3. Naz81 - Barrel chested huge guy that looks like chinese with thin eyes
4. khai friend 1 - Played as GK after me
5. khai friend 2 - Wearing France blue jersey playing right back
6. jtxcool
7. WK Wong - Tall chinese dude playing left back, wearing long pants
8. sthon - The oldest among all of us, with Rooney hairstyle.
9. jonno - Scorer of our second goal, guy with Liverpool tattoo on his arm
10. allan - Gangster looking striker, guy who sprints like Walcott.
11. adrian - One of the short guy playing centreback
12. khai - The guy who doesn't smile and looks damn lansi
13. aw13 - Needs no intro, the only person to ever receive a yellow card.
14. giotto
15. faisael - Wearing Inter jersey that can dribble and hold the ball whole day long.
16. ronald - Scorer of the first goal.
17. Pono friend - Chinese dude that plays wing. Dont know him well.
18. pono - The rhino that literally ran like Bolt on left this morning.

Giotto thanks for the game and I still owe you one Milo-ais.

and many thanks to Doggy for being a competent and impartial ref. His standard is almost on par with FIFA certified refs. I had wanted to pass a "cheong all you can" voucher to you but I sayang and in the end I sapu-ed all. blush.gif

I was in a dilemma in deciding who to join for brunch. But they were talking about a new cheong center in town and they are going to share the ratings of the MLs during brunch and therefore it's not too difficult to decide who to join finally. blush.gif

Sorry we did not give much fight that would have made your victory a lot sweeter. If fact our GK gifted your team with so many opportunities. sad.gif
Except for 1 or 2 players, the rest are futsal players who haven't played on a football pitch for a very long time. You could see they were lost. The scoreline was actually quite kind to us.

Very sorry for the 2 not so pleasant incidences. Those were really unnecessary but during the heat of the game, cumulated frustrations can make a person loses his sense. The first incidence (in the first 3min), that uncle was very afraid of injury so please bear with his outburst. The indian guy who was involved in the 2nd incidence is actually a very guy off field and most of the guys who played are his friends. So no hard feelings please.

Giotto, your single handed save was probably the save of the day and the best I've seen from you notworthy.gif

I dunno what happened to me today, my stamina was the worst one. I'm still developing cramps every now and then.

Doggy, where did you kena saman? On my way back saw a speed trap. I was going a little bit higher than 80km/h. Not sure will receive a compound in a few days time or not sweat.gif

Waile, I think these things are normal especially in field football, so no problem one lah.

James, was it after the science centre? Usually there's a speed trap right under the 2nd last overhead bridge if I not mistaken. Word of caution to everyone in the future. Drive at 80 km/h on that long stretch of road heading to Damansara/Federal.

Great game this morning mates, must say that our performance was very impressive, even if we did chop and change a lot throughout the game with our rolling subs. Yes, I was the one with the yellow card, but i'd like to say that James did well to show that he is strict enough to issue cards even if we are long-time futsal friends from LYN, well done James!

My MOTM def Eric for his one-handed save. I was linesman then, and I thought the ball was going in already, but Eric surprised me with that one-handed save, I thought it was really a fine save, and definitely worth mentioning.

My apologies to all for the 2 goals conceded, it all happened at my watch @ Centreback, with Adrian taking a breather then. Bad positioning for the 1st one, and def my fault for the 2nd, penalty conceded. smile.gif

@waile - no hard feelings too mate, pls convey that to your friends as well. My style has always been uncompromising, some may take offence at times, and some may not. Having said that, anything less would render me less of a commanding defender tongue.gif

and Adrian is def a good sweeper, I was surprised how well we caught them offside, forcing their strikers to virtually camp out at their own half for most of the game.

looking forward to the next one guys!

awie, we all know that u take game very seriously and it's a positive attitude but since this is just a friendly a "sorry" (even though it wasn't your fault) would have sufficed to cool things down very effectively. i don't think it will make u look sissy in the eyes of your teammates. laugh.gif

adrian or his nick berserk is a damn good CB. with his experience in the social league i'm not surprised that our strike force would hit a wall. the team manager should put me as a striker lah but there were too many players who couldn't fit into other positions. and these are blardy futsal players. they've not played offside for many years or probably none in their life.
