QUOTE(giotto @ Jul 14 2009, 10:56 AM)
1. LYN team come in BLUE only. Remember, BLUE!! Orange is not the new blue.

2. Punctuality.  This is a paying field, if everyone comes late, we start late but still have to finish on time that we booked. Lets come abit early to warm up, socialise, check out MILFs discuss strategy and etc.

3. Since there's no ref, any unused substitute from either LYN or Waile team MUST nominate a ref for offside/foul, outball and etc decision. Freekick must be 10 steps from foul point.

4. Fairplay. Please be reminded that this is a friendly game in every sense. We're not playing for our future so take this like one of our casual futsal kickabout. Excessive physical play and oversealous tackles are not welcomed. We don't want anyone going back home injured.
*
1. I'd suggest those with LYN FUTSAL (I know it's a contradiction!) kits wear these instead, just for a proper identity. Those without can opt for a blue kit, navy blue would be ideal. Also, a group photo after that with the same kit would be smashing!

2. Yup, agreed. Will def try to make it on time laugh.gif

3. Ok this is a quite hard to apply. What do you mean by unused sub? How would we know he is unused? To be an unused sub, you would have not to participate when the game is going on, thus he would be linesmen/ref then? And when he is required as sub, he's supposed to be subbed in the game immediately? Cos the one coming off would be pretty tired to be the successor of the linesmen/ref (the main reason his being subbed!)

I'd think one ref would be sufficient la, just to make sure everything is in order. Rolling ref i would think, reps from both teams alternating (with a bright yellow bib to differentiate). Linesmen would be pretty redundant if they are just there to call for outballs, etc.

4. Yes, friendly game (must tell myself that too!), so let's go out and have fun! And maybe score some crackers ala MikeCurl Tee and Arshavin Chen. whistling.gif

QUOTE(Zan81 @ Jul 14 2009, 11:56 AM)
For me, the main reason for linesmen is to call for offside. Believe me, its not easy to call offside if you're a ref.

Unless we make do without the offside rule?
*
Yes I presumed that we won't be playing the offside rule, seeing that it's just a friendly match, and offside is so...subjective. Bound to be arguments especially when most of us are not experienced in calling the offside. In addition, if the linesmen were to call for offside, I'd really doubt he'd had the 'authority' for the players to listen to him.

Well the sporting ones will listen/respect la, but since when can we control other ppl's thoughts and intentions (some of them are newbies), esp when it's a crunch time (like when you are being thumped left right centre). However, of course offside would be better, given uncle waile's explanation of his reasons for it! smile.gif

we will. but we will still hide mallet, oversized wrench in our undersized pants just in case the ref/linesman is too biased

Is Ben coming in the first place? If not, all this trash talk will go to waste, esp Doggy trying to entice Ben to see his moobs.

Great game this morning mates, must say that our performance was very impressive, even if we did chop and change a lot throughout the game with our rolling subs. Yes, I was the one with the yellow card, but i'd like to say that James did well to show that he is strict enough to issue cards even if we are long-time futsal friends from LYN, well done James!

My MOTM def Eric for his one-handed save. I was linesman then, and I thought the ball was going in already, but Eric surprised me with that one-handed save, I thought it was really a fine save, and definitely worth mentioning.

My apologies to all for the 2 goals conceded, it all happened at my watch @ Centreback, with Adrian taking a breather then. Bad positioning for the 1st one, and def my fault for the 2nd, penalty conceded. smile.gif

@waile - no hard feelings too mate, pls convey that to your friends as well. My style has always been uncompromising, some may take offence at times, and some may not. Having said that, anything less would render me less of a commanding defender tongue.gif

and Adrian is def a good sweeper, I was surprised how well we caught them offside, forcing their strikers to virtually camp out at their own half for most of the game.

looking forward to the next one guys!

QUOTE(waile @ Jul 19 2009, 10:09 AM)
awie, we all know that u take game very seriously and it's a positive attitude but since this is just a friendly a "sorry" (even though it wasn't your fault) would have sufficed to cool things down very effectively. i don't think it will make u look sissy in the eyes of your teammates.  laugh.gif
@waile - from my experience, it's always better to keep quiet and walk away from the 'incident', as sometimes emotions will fly no matter what words were uttered, be it a sorry to some other unpleasant things that was dished out in the heat of the moment. To be fair, I would say my challenge was definitely without malice, it was an honest-to-goodness shoulder barge, maybe a bit cynical la. I accepted the yellow, so that goes to show that I would accept that my challenge was a bit tough.

but all in all, no hard feelings! smile.gif

also, no futsal for me today as well, feel the knees are already gonna give way, haha, old age def catching up for some of us!

QUOTE(giotto @ Jul 21 2009, 04:58 PM)
If you guys wanna do some football training, we could possibly arrange too, at USJ 1 desert field.  To be brutally honest, there are some of us that is lacking the most basic skill of stopping and passing the ball. Maybe due to the fact that we're so used to stopping the ball futsal style so misjudging the bounce of the ball is also another issue.  Some training would help in preparing for the next friendly.
*
I'd agree some training would be good in preparation for the next friendly, as fitness levels and stamina were also not up to mark, mine included. Count me in for the next training, hopefully mornings though.
