@ashin83, It's good to keep a tab on ur usage; just check out the meter gauge in ur iPhone. I notice Maxis bills U for whatever you've used but come month end, it'll be re-credited out hence it'll all balance up. I too am waiting for my Maxis bill to make sure there's no wrong charges *smiles* but ah well... I'm patient

They usually details all of them one by one as usual and then only applies the 'specials' as per subscribed. That way they can see the ins and outs of the money flow. I believe some concerned individual was scared the hell when they saw the high charges and overlooked the smaller chargeable number. Its easy to make an exaggeration when you only wanted to see what you want to see and make it a reality. Thats why they have a summary in the front page of the bills. The summary will detail all you need to pay for the month. The payable number is highlighted.

QUOTE(hellwaker @ Sep 2 2009, 09:33 AM) How to apply easy payment plan? Goto maxis or bank first? Never apply such thing before. When you pay for the phone (upon arrival and availability) with the credit card, just mention that you are opting for the easy payment plan. They will provide an application form and will make photocopy of your IC (and credit card if not mistaken). Then they will request for easy payment through the credit terminal. You may be required to provide authentication and permission for the bank to proceed. There'll be a telephone call (depends) via the store. Then its just as easy as signing the credit card statement/printout. However if your credit card is not from one of the participating banks, you can always swipe in full and then call out the bank to convert it into split payments of 6, 12, 24, 36 months depending on the available choices. Some banks have pre-requisites like 6 months split payment only for RM1000 and up while 12 months only for RM2000 and up. Don't forget that the processing fee (depending on the number of months chosen) is applicable. For more information check with your banks. The conventional recommendation/advice is always true. If possible, save up and buy it later. Its not fun when you see your monthly salary being held up with installments and left with little cash to work around.

Here's my experience, i just got off the phone with Maxis customer service. Apparently my data charges were RM170++. They barred my number so i had to contact them.
I ask the lady how come i was charged so much. She say that the rebate of 500MB had been given or initial charges were RM2K ++ for internet (i was like WTF). So i asked her how much data did i used for the month? She counted and told me 414MB. I asked her to compare with the iData2 plan which i'm on. She herself also confuse.
Luckily she was patient enough to listen to me as i was kinda pissed already. She said she will make a report. However, my number is still barred.
Seriously donno what Maxis doing. I said i got keep track of my data charges on my phone, how can i not know how much have i used.

@zeropulse, If you're signed on to iData 2 plan U should have 500MB of data. Hence if you've used up only 414MB you're still within the limit. Give them some time to investigate and I'm sure they'll reverse the charges. What you should complain now is that you're being inconvenienced because of a mistake they've made as U now bear the consequences of not having an active phone line.

Thats what i have told them, i asked after explaining all of this, is my number still barred? She say unfortunately yes. I was like lagi WTF. No choice la, i pay RM100 like i usually pay my ValuePlus 50 together with the idata2 RM50 to them to unbarred my number.

@zeropulse, As long as the $ is clear then it's fine cause the RM100 can always be used for the next month

@zeropulse, Er.. 22MB would cost U about RM220 if I ain't mistaken. If U aren't latched onto a plan ur rates are 1sen/kb otherwise it'ls 0.5sen/kb.

@megatron007, In that case I don't think it's Maxis's fault hence U'll need to pay. I too was slapped with some form of payment but I was aware of it; I just didn't know it was gonna be 1sen/kb.
Anyhow, I terminated my RM99 Unlimited plan when I picked up my i3GS and the iData plan was activated immediately so I shouldn't have to pay for additional data services this month unless my usage exceeds the pro-rated 500MB I have.

I am not really sure how they calculate. But for some reason i think i did not even use 22MB. Because i don't know where22MB could have come from as my previous phone could do nothing much when it comes to the internet unless surfing the web. Which i seldom do except check wap.livescore.com. Maybe i might have been mistaken. But from my previous bills,(i was on the 5MB plan), i had never once exceeded that amount. So i was kinda surprised. @zeropulse, If U think you've been over-charged, ask Maxis to give you a breakdown. I'm sure they can do that, right?

Hi all, I am interested in getting the ivalue 1 plan with Iphone 3GS. Currently I am a Maxis postpaid 80 user. Can anyone help me with the following queries: a) Can I convert to the ivalue 1 plan? b) How much do I have to pay for the 3GS 8GB/16GB during the subsription? I am kind of confused over the first payment amount to Maxis when subscribing to ivalue 1 plan. Thank you for your kind assistance.

@MikeX, If you're not currently on a contract with Maxis, U should be able to convert your existing plan to iValue 1 plan. As to how much you need to pay, please refer to Post 1-3 of this thread.
