QUOTE(hades86 @ Aug 31 2009, 10:21 PM) u can find the address in maxis website.... Orange Mobile (M) Sdn Bhd No 90, Lorong Mamanda 1, Ampang Point, 68000 Ampang, Selangor yeah Orange Mobile Ampang Point...they ask me wether i want with contract or without...i choose without and they ask me to deposit RM200 and give me a recipt. i hope i can get my phone before hari raya. I really don't recommend Orange. They are NOT helpful and always throw the buck back to Maxis. They are the ones Maxis CS is chasing to find out what they did with my 2 units of iPhone which I still haven't received. They said maybe sold off or what. Maxis sending replacement units to them to send to us. Really not going to deal with them anymore after this fiasco.

Then proceed for registration, activation n etc. Totally spent liao 1 hour+ there. Booked 7th August.

"if u dun get any sms or call to collect the iphone means no la".

@scofield RM2490 full payment needed for 16gb and RM2990 for 32gb. Pay RM200 deposit and then the balance will need to be paid upon collection.
Added on September 1, 2009, 1:46 pm@jlstriker It is dangerous paying RM500 blindly as deposit. Maxis only mentioned RM200 as deposit. Better check properly, since the shop u mentioned wasn't in the list of "WHERE TO BUY" from maxis site.

The CS replied eventhough not listed, they are a MEP, so it's ok. But after I have experienced their service, or lack thereof, first and the last time with an MEP. Next time, go straight to Maxis centre.

Hi All,
I've been following the 3GS saga unfold on this thread with rising interest.
Does anyone have an experience to share with placing a $200 prebook/order for the iphone 3GS in Sarawak? I understand that relative to KL this area is considered by many to be lawless Jungle, but I thought I'd give it a try and see if there were any other prospective iphone owners in Sarawak with whom I could commiserate.
I booked the unit at a Switch store here in Kuching at the Spring on August 9th and despite calls to Maxis and visits to the store, no one can give a straight answer besides "between now and next year". In retrospect, I should have placed the order with our one and only Maxis Centre and not an MEP, but as the clichee goes c'est la vie.
Any information on the state of orders/stock/etc. of 3GS units in Kuching/Sarawak would be welcome. I know it may not be an answer, but just having a little information tends to ease stress and have most people feel a measure control over an otherwise uncontrolled situation.
Thanks!
