A bit of news for Corporate Clients:

Initially Maxis said Corp. clients are not allowed to make bookings and need to call their Account Managers to discuss. After much hoo haa with CS over the phone and emailing back and forth and calling one of the KLCC Centre's Managers, they relented and sent a rep over from a MEP to my office who took a deposit initially for 2 phones, came back the next day and said that Maxis requires the FULL payment for both phones PLUS the RM200 / phone deposit for the iValue2 plan. So we paid everything and he mentioned that if everything goes ok seeing as how we chose the 16GB White 3GS, we should get the phone on the 18th. If not enough stock, GUARANTEED to receive on the 26th of August.

Hope that helps some out! I'm so excited to receive my iPhone. Been saving for yonks for it!

Hmm ... when Maxis sent their Corporate Account rep to my office to sign up 2 staff (1 of them is me la tongue.gif), they guaranteed that the iPhone 16GB 3GS can be collected on 26th August, if August 18th no stock.

Today called that rep, and he said no news yet, so I called Maxis 1919 (Corporate Line) and spoke to a nice gentleman there. He said according to his system, our order has not been processed and they have no record of the order. WTF! shocking.gif I told the CS that they have taken the FULL payment with guarantee that August 26th can get the phone. Now I don't mind waiting for the phone, IF you be honest up front and tell me that you have to wait for the phone for a month, but don't give me a date and then change you story after that! Total misrepresentation and makes MAXIS as a company look bad. vmad.gif

After I explained that to him, he put me on hold and called up the processing center as I had mentioned that the 2 cheques had been cleared by Maxis. He comes back on the line and says that I can get my 2 phones 3 weeks from today, which is 1st week of September now. rclxub.gif doh.gif

Sometimes I don't know why I'm still supporting Maxis.

Den of lying vipers, aitelyu.

because you don't have a choice. maxis is the sole distributor of iPhone in malaysia,

either you stick with them or opt for a parallel import unit (and lose all the perks)

live with it or induce yourself with a permanent amnesia.

He he ... rclxms.gif thanks for your reply, yeah, I agree with you, if I want it legit, have to put up with this nonsense la. Oh well ... here's to waiting for another 3 weeks ... I've already waited this long already right? wink.gif

Was at KLCC for lunch today and noticed that Maxis was having a roadshow there. For anyone looking to purchase the iPhone 3G 8GB, it's available immediately. For the iPhone 3GS, they are saying it's between THREE and SIX weeks after payment and contract confirmation.

Just FYI.

@madcatz,bitbytes9

It really depends on where you prebooked. Some ppl like me got it during launch day, some ppl din get anything on launch day. Some ppl got it now, some ppl still waiting. Just wait patiently while the stock is being transported around.
All I can say is i'm hearing less complaints from the 1st batch prebookers here about not getting their iphone. Majority have got theirs and are probably playing their brand new iphone now.  rclxms.gif

2nd batch prebookers, your time is probably just around the corner  biggrin.gif

Yeah, agree with you. I've been passively reading about everyone, well almost everyone, flaring up about not getting their units, and i so totally understand your frustration with how Maxis is handling it etc and how you feel cheated etc because of the deposit.

And here's the thing, we all know it by now and there's not ONE thing we can change except to keep calling, and hoping and praying ... oh and harassing wink.gif till we get it. So ... I for one liked what tinkerbell said in another thread about it just ... in the end, it's just a phone. I've still got my SE z610i that I'm still thrilled to bits with. wink.gif

Keep your heads up! biggrin.gif Our units are on their way!

Yo guys I collected my iPhone already. I tell u what, don't bother waiting for the call if you have booked in July or even 1st aug when your booking is online. Just go to your service center during non peak time like 3pm with your receipt and try to collect. It's not 100% but it's worth the try. U need to first get pass those people at the door and get a number.
*
He he ... rclxms.gif Good for you man! Every man for himself then? Did you get a call / sms / email or you just went straight to your collection centre? Maxis took my money, cleared the cheque but forgot, FORGOT to process the order. smile.gif CS now on the line trying to see what they can do to appease a very patient client who is getting a little upset. smile.gif

How's your feeling when collecting your baby @ eaglex?

maxis cs call me juz now and told that prepaid package is still unavailable rite now, but the walk-in customer can start buying their i3gs with prepaid package
when the stock arrive on September, but its still depend on the stock
coz they have to prioritize the customer who apply the contract-binded plan such as ivalue and idata.

noobquestion:

shud i inspect the device on the spot while im getting my i3gs at maxi centre or juz take it back and inspect it at home, cuz its embarrassing to open-box in front of maxis staff?
if bought from maxis is 100% sure safe,so dont need to inspect la rite?

all of u guys pay cash or creadit card installment??where can i booked online?? wink.gif

Paid by Cheque.

Credit cards allowed for 2 - 3 banks only (HSBC, Maybank and 1 more if not mistaken).

You have to go to Maxis Centre, MEP or APR to get your iPhone registration / booking done. Online sudah tiada. smile.gif

I finally got through to someone in Maxis CS (shoutout to Elle, who sounds Filipino / Spanish) and to Azwan (I think), both of whom are hot on the tails of the unscrupulous MEP who apparently had my stock and sold it to someone else for $$$. Basket.

Now they are investigating and I should get my phones by next week. Bugger that MEP! No good!

u can find the address in maxis website....

Orange Mobile (M) Sdn Bhd
No 90, Lorong Mamanda 1,
Ampang Point,
68000 Ampang,
Selangor
yeah Orange Mobile Ampang Point...they ask me wether i want with contract or without...i choose without and they ask me to deposit RM200 and give me a recipt.  i hope i can get my phone before hari raya.
*
I really don't recommend Orange. They are NOT helpful and always throw the buck back to Maxis. They are the ones Maxis CS is chasing to find out what they did with my 2 units of iPhone which I still haven't received. They said maybe sold off or what. Maxis sending replacement units to them to send to us. Really not going to deal with them anymore after this fiasco.

RM2490 full payment needed for 16gb and RM2990 for 32gb.
Pay RM200 deposit and then the balance will need to be paid upon collection.

Added on September 1, 2009, 1:46 pm@jlstriker
It is dangerous paying RM500 blindly as deposit. Maxis only mentioned RM200 as deposit. Better check properly, since the shop u mentioned wasn't in the list of "WHERE TO BUY" from maxis site.
*
I did call up Maxis and ask them the question. The CS replied eventhough not listed, they are a MEP, so it's ok. But after I have experienced their service, or lack thereof, first and the last time with an MEP. Next time, go straight to Maxis centre.
