Go to Queensbay Maxis Centre. They can book prepaid 3Gs for you. Good customer service. Screw all other places that lies through the big noses.

BTW, I also receive the RM98 3GB SMS. I think that's an error eh. Should I try go pass the 500MB limit? Maybe can get 3GB free, hehe.

Serious? I went there last Monday and they say can still order prepaid 3Gs. I was trying to buy 3G when they ask me why don't get 3Gs, but need to wait for 1 month, which is too long for me. Maybe they're trying to fulfill orders made by those under contract eh.

3Gs here is the cheapest unlocked that I know of. Many people export instead of import this time round.

If you want prepaid 3Gs, I think have to wait for a long time, since Maxis will suck for months because of this stupid fiasco. If desperate, get the 3G lor, like me. Still happy, no headache, enjoying iPhone for 1 week d. RM500 richer to prepare for next year's iPhone.

did they deducted your credit?... error or not my money is gone.. and that number is not an error to my eye...

@swee5420 i have told them clearly what happen, and they all replied with the same reason: "It will take 3-7 working days....", then the next time i call, they will repliy with: "Your case is active and still under investigation..", then when i ask "could you speed up the process", all they can say is that "i try my best sir..."

at the end of the day, CS still can only report the customer issue to Maxis Centre or the other relevant department, and they cant do anything else on the technical side...

Then there is no need to worry already, since they have your report, i am sure that they will solve your problem, it is just a matter of time. Chill bro, at least you got your free data, just enjoy it first.

hey guys, are there anywhere else where we can book the prepaid 3GS plan? it seems like maxis centers are not allowing it anymore.

how about Switch/Machines/Epicenter/Mac Studio or any other APR, do they allow prepaid 3GS bookings there? Looking for an outlet in klang valley.

thanks!

@fangcheng
right now, its not confirmed when stock will arrive. as we've seen, some parties will take advantage and make promises. do try to get them to put the date in black and white, and try to get a refund clause.

For machines, we normally do not refund bookings for Mac or other accessories... so no changes there.

@xonius
AFAIK, the bookings are all centralised at Maxis HQ @ KLCC. So if Maxis says they are not accepting, but the shop you went to did accept, don't be surprised if they call you later with an explanation, but no phone. Caveat emptor smile.gif

No need stack up till RM200+ eh. Prepaid only wo. What you do? Everytime got promo if reload RM30 get RM10, u always reload?

Too bad DiGi will never get iPhone. Only Maxis has enough style and greed to get the iPhone for us. Now, everyone buy prepaid, they avoid pulak.

I think in Malaysia, you must offer a handphone in its unlocked form, right?
Sure they say no booking for prepaid but eventually, they will still offer prepaid, maybe months. Maxis cannot escape 1.

nah... i dont do that... i only reload when it expires... now u know why it can reach that amount...

if they really use the "Monthly Pass" thing to activate the data, they did not do a decent job, leaving a lot of mess behind for the customer and other colleague...

One thing we must warn ppl about their Maxis iPhones - check your data usage. It could be doing something on its own without you even noticing. RM98 can be gone in a couple hours of data usage.
It happened to me.

Make sure your iphone can turn off the data usage and turn off Push

@idoblu i agree with you, and in fact some of the 3rd party application in Apps Store uses data without you knowing, so be sure that you using the app in the correct situation

well i have match my missing credit and my data usage, there is no increment of the data upload/download since last night till this morning, so i assume that the missing credit is not due to my phone fetches data.

if i really do use the data up to the value worth of Rm98, with the off-peak rate of 0.5sen per KB, it will be like 98/0.005 = 19600KB = 19MB of data... even with peak rate of 1sen per KB, it will also be 8MB+ of data... i would definitely know when there is such a huge jump in the usage
