No.1 - ask me to wait, she will ask Hotlink dept to expedite turning on my free data (more BS)
No.2 - she prints out my eStatement since August 1st and totaled up the data charges. According to her, its 59.xx so she will immediately credit me RM60 (later I came home and did my own calculation - found total to be RM74.28
No.3 - ask me to speak to their data consultant who told me to turn off PUSH and set Fetch to Manual
9 days and still my Free Data not turn on and counting...... mad.gif  vmad.gif

i have the same case with you, purchase on 1st Aug also... apparently on 1st August their system went down, and till now they cant even solve such a simple problem... vmad.gif

i am also getting annoyed and frustrated... they are so inefficient in doing such a small matter... called CS so many times and all they can do is do report, nothing else... i gave up on calling them, only waste more money, now I have to waste my time this saturday to go to Maxis Centre KLCC again...

if on saturday they going tell me to wait again... i really going to explode and tell them i have wait enough, gave them so many days and produce no result, what for i place my trust in them again....

Well done maxis.. you finally activate my free 500MB data for my Hotlink after a whole week of delay, and now you create another problem for me, charging me RM98 for a Monthly(3GB) Passes.... which I didnt subscribe to it at all

Anyone know what this Monthly 3GB Passes is??? No info could be found on Maxis website. I receive a SMS this morning saying i have successfully purchases the passes and it just deducted my account for RM98

and again i did the same by calling CS... all they can do is again make report...

probably the purchase fails because u dont have sufficient credit inside... well i have... and they just deduct my credit like that...

looks like my trip to Maxis Centre KLCC is unavoidable...

@swee5420 well i cant just ignore it... they have deducted my account...

@janson i purchased on Maxis Centre KLCC at 1st August

i also donno what "Monthly Pass" is this, how come they can just "sell" you something without getting your permission...

i used to believe TM has be worst CS, now i think Maxis CS were not as good as i believed either... there not much things they can do, just help you make a report, sometimes explaining your situation to them need a lot of effort, tell them this and that they don't seem to understand anything you just told them... shakehead.gif

did they deducted your credit?... error or not my money is gone.. and that number is not an error to my eye...

@swee5420 i have told them clearly what happen, and they all replied with the same reason: "It will take 3-7 working days....", then the next time i call, they will repliy with: "Your case is active and still under investigation..", then when i ask "could you speed up the process", all they can say is that "i try my best sir..."

at the end of the day, CS still can only report the customer issue to Maxis Centre or the other relevant department, and they cant do anything else on the technical side...

ya at least i get my data, and not as angry as yesterday... been waiting for the whole week

as for the Monthly Pass thing... i think i rather go to KLCC this saturday to speed things up, relying on CS will take ages...

My credit yesterday night was 260+, then today wake up see the SMS, check my credit become 160+

as for the eStatement, is a another issue at Maxis, apparently i cant login my account.. it keep saying that i did not enter the require field, which i did...

their systems has bug all over the place...

nah... i dont do that... i only reload when it expires... now u know why it can reach that amount...

if they really use the "Monthly Pass" thing to activate the data, they did not do a decent job, leaving a lot of mess behind for the customer and other colleague...

@idoblu i agree with you, and in fact some of the 3rd party application in Apps Store uses data without you knowing, so be sure that you using the app in the correct situation

well i have match my missing credit and my data usage, there is no increment of the data upload/download since last night till this morning, so i assume that the missing credit is not due to my phone fetches data.

if i really do use the data up to the value worth of Rm98, with the off-peak rate of 0.5sen per KB, it will be like 98/0.005 = 19600KB = 19MB of data... even with peak rate of 1sen per KB, it will also be 8MB+ of data... i would definitely know when there is such a huge jump in the usage

well for u all dun have sufficient credit for them to deduct, but i have and my credit had been deducted...

always have to wait... wait iPhone to come to Malaysia, then wait for new revision of iPhone, and then wait for pre-booking, then wait for collection, then wait for them to solve the free data problem, now wait for them for explanation why my credit been "suck" away....

well... hope that those that have to get their hands on iPhone don't face similar problem like me...

ok finally they solve my RM98 Monthly Pass case just after 2 days... thanks for solving this issue, i was ready to go to Maxis Centre tmr... save me a lot of trouble...

and for those that use Hotlink to purchase i3GS and get the data days later... the lady from Maxis that call me said that the data period will start counting from the data you bought your i3GS, and not from the day ur data activated..

so for my case i bought my phone on 1st Aug, and get my data on 10th Aug, so my data period of 1 month will count from 1st Aug to 31st Aug as 1 month, not 10th Aug to 9th Sept...

hope this solve your query on the period
