I booked my 3gs 32gb black at Labuan Phone Shop. Actually the MEP is very2 bad!!!

1st case:-

The lady asked us to pay RM 2990; in other word FULL AMOUNT in order to get so called 1st batch iphone 3gs. I told her, Maxis only asked RM200 but she said yes you can pay RM200 but you'll definitely get the 2nd batch. So I paid RM 2990...sigh~ with the promise end of July 09 or at least early August 2009...but till now, don't get!

2nd case:-

While i made the payment of RM 2990, the lady put another "additional" requirement for me to book/get the 1st batch iphone in Labuan...you have to buy hotlink prepaid for an amount of RM 100!!!!! plus the hotlink line RM 8.80...i quickly called my friend and he said, there's no such requirement added by Maxis in order to get the iphone...then i threaten the lady by saying i'll report to maxis if she still need me to pay RM 100 for hotlink prepaid...this time, the lady called her boss and after that she said that i do not have to pay for the RM 100! i guess since the shop is the only MEP in Labuan who sold iphone 3gs and they simply take advantage by putting their additional requirement!

FYI, Labuan still dont have Maxis 3g coverage (Celcom got 3g) and currently the service coverage here is very2 bad! no way to maxis and i'll put my celcom sim card once i get the new iphone 3gs...let's hope on 18th...

u shld have got it..

Lol! means u're staying near me coz i booked there too. i booked mine there but apparently they din accept any deposit from me when i booked. Maybe they're rushing to close their shop, went there at 8.30pm.
I'm fine with it since i'm the 1st on the list i should be getting it soon.

made another quick check at maxis center at Berjaya Times Square.. As usual, no stock. same reply as well.. have to wait 30 days...

in fact when i came to the shop on 3rd Aug to ask about my booking, the lady also dun know the latest status! she just said, maxis in kl got no more stock and we will call you once the stock is available...yeah, i know you will call me on 18th perhaps~~~~

MEP Labuan Tau kay Neon asked me to made full payment so that i will reveived it on 1st week of August.....She said Maxis asked them to collect full payment if you want the early bird.
But till now...wait foe the moon to fell down...shit

They did mention most ppl booked black.
Maybe they have limited stock for black.

Any news updates on Machines 1U? I desperately need my phone before 16th of August. I cannot wait until 18th.

did u get the sms telling that u entitled for the 500mb? The 500mb is stating 8 August... yippie..now hotlink customer can enjoy free data..

nope i am currently using family plan so I didnt choose to order via hotlink plan. Dont get the free 500MB a year =(.. I just bought it outright from the MEP =)

yea... hope i can get it soon too but they told me the next restock will be 2 - 3 weeks away. Really hope it'll be earlier.

Initially i din confirm with them wat plan i'm going for coz they told me that i can decide my plan later when i collect my know.

So... guess i'll just have to wait and pray for maxis to get their stock sooner.

My advice to you is to call maxis 1st (i din get mine almost 8 days also), if you are using post paid call 1800 821123 (FOC), if you are using prepaid call 1300 820120 (they say it costs rm0.10/min, but cost me almost rm3 for call around 10-15min ). they will help you lodge a report. i got my free 500mb 1-2 days after i called them, it's quite efficient.

i bought my accesories from this low yat forum. my one came with free delivery . price slightly cheaper (rm10-20) than machines also, and you can choose from the comfort of your home too.

all the xtra accessories are just personal choice. remember the phone doesnt come with a requirement tat you should buy those extras. It is your own preference. Some ppl still enjoy the phone without any extras, and i believe it should b tat way

9 days and counting. pretty loong time for an early bird to wait for his phone

dunno how many times i called them already. they said go to any maxis center if you want fast help. i went to gardens, they asked me to go back to sunway where i bought it....
