went to Maxis Penang at Northam.
As usual, no stock as well. The lady told me that we should expect the stock in 1 month's time. And another problem is that we are no longer able to purchase the iPhone 3GS with hotlink. sad case.. and really unfair to us..

From the website, it seems that it's still possible to purchase the phone via hotlink but pre-booking via hotlink is not possible..
else as you said, they should remove the advert from the official website..

They will eventually have surplus stock.. we just have to wait till they have then..
Let's see what happens.. So far as I could see from this forum, none of the maxis centers in Penang & KL have any stock as of right now (both 16GB and 32GB).
I guess the dates most of the people here mentioned is 18th Aug.

You just pre-book yesterday? Where did you pre-book from? AFAIK, it is no longer possible to pre-book via hotlink.

guess I should make some update. Currently in KLCC & spoke to maxis & they as confirmed, no pre-booking allowed for non-contracts iPhone. Which means iData1 & Hotlink booking is not possible. The guy told me that with pre-book, you'll have to wait for max 30 days. Now they are smart, no longer provide exact days..

made another quick check at maxis center at Berjaya Times Square.. As usual, no stock. same reply as well.. have to wait 30 days...

You mean the Maxis center at Northam? I went on the 6th Aug but they told me I can't book without contract..
why is there a difference?

I've walked in to Maxis Northam (Penang) this morn.. and they still have no stock..
also, booking of 3GS without contract is still not possible.
Lady at the counter said that if you book with contract, the latest you will receive the 3GS is 1 month from booking date. Similar to the last time when I asked which is round about 2 weeks ago.. no improvements..

What I meant was your corporate plan. Is it a contract corporate plan?
Reason is I got from maxis is that you can't register for iPhone contract if you're currently on another corporate plan (contract).
