QUOTE(zsbong @ Oct 16 2010, 09:16 AM) I'm using ip4. Before going to sleep I made sure all background apps are closed. My 3G was on, cellular data on, wifi off, push notification only allow Tango, location services only allow maps and compas. After 7 hours idle, battery life dropped from fully charged to 85 percent. WTF? 3G drains a lot of battery fast IMO. Added on October 16, 2010, 6:05 pmQUOTE(megahertz @ Oct 13 2010, 08:37 PM) what is the best battery charger for iphone? i need 1 with long lasting. hope can full charge iphone 2,3 times. battery charger @ case charger., just state it.. and plz gv review it if u used it before.. thanks For Case - Mophie But if you don't mind, the Sanyo Eneloop Mobile Booster KBC-L2AS is good, cheap and has 5000mAh for a portable charger. There's a forummer that brings in this product. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1563331This post has been edited by iSaaCiMaCiPC: Oct 16 2010, 06:05 PM

What I am trying to highlight is that even if left idle... it could actually drain 15% when a few days ago it only drained 3% with the same settings.. which is very peculiar

Lithium-ion batteries takes a few charges to get to its peak performance and later deteriorate as it ages

Try This out Friend:-
1. Turn Off Push: Change your email FECTH time so it’s less frequent or turn it off completely by tuning off “PUSH” and check your emails manually, This can save around 20% battery life.
2. Turn off 3G if not in use: If you don’t see a 3G icon on your iPhone status bar, then you’re not in a 3G hot spot., and you’re not getting any benefit from the phone’s 3G radio. By turning it off, you’ll double the length of your iPhone battery power from 5 hours of talk time to 10.
3. Turn off EQ: Applying EQ settings to your iPhone apparently drains extra battery. If you’re planning on keeping your phone alive all day, turn the EQ settings off.
4. Set Auto-Lock to 1 Minute: When you’re not using you phone, lock it. And just in case, put you iPhone to the shortest possible auto-lock setting so that it locks automatically (and quickly) when you aren’t active.
5. Turn down screen brightness: When you’re in battery life saver mode, turn the brightness all the way down, it doesn’t take a genius to understand that more brightness = more power consumed.
6. Minimize use of location services: Since this requires the use of GPS, using location services sucks more energy from you battery. Use it only when really necessary (that means don’t go on MAPS just because you’re bored).
7. Turn Off Vibrate in Games: A lot of games have very frequent vibrations, which drain battery life. If you can, turn them off in the game’s settings.
8. Stay updated with the latest firmware: Apple’s minor firmware update frequently introduce some new methods of functionality which are better on battery life.

QUOTE(userONIX @ Oct 17 2010, 01:14 PM) i use this setting everyday since i bought it. y today only got problem? hey bro I've actually face this problem as well, the first month was awesome, on wifi and all and the batt don't drain as fast, but all of a sudden 1 day the battery starts draining like crazy, and it's gonna continue in this manner (at least in my case). I tried and experimented with many many ways to keep my battery lasting as long as possible (after this happens) and found out that the 1 that's draining my batt like nuts is wifi, (btw i have cellular data and 3G both off). i even turned off push notification and manually close all the apps running in the background, but batt still draining very fast, only after i turn off wifi then the battery starts to go back to normal. hope this helps, u can try it out urself..
