Those don't affect much. I have friends who did the test before. They failed to reach 5 days. Maybe he lowered the brightness like A LOT? Hmm...

One could lengthen battery time by underclocking and feeling lag all the time on 3g,3gs.

Have to edit fstab file through SSH ( i hope this is legal ) yawn.gif

Google around u can find the tutorials.

I changed my iphone 3g to 600mhz maximum clock and 300 mhz idle clock.

Seems that the battery life is shortened . but its worth it for the performance

I've tried 600mhz , 100 idle . 8 hours of sleep. only 5% standby gone

This is my battery level from 100% to 19% left

3G on
Wifi off
Location off
Mobile data off
Calls and sms

As I have said :-
3G on
Wifi off
Location services off
Mobile data off
Calls and sms
Notifications off
Brightness auto off ( set to abt 30% brightness)
No games
iOS 4.0.2

Average abt 15% battery drop for every 1 day.

So if the last the 19% battery finish, then probably last to the 6th day on the Iphone4.

You can charge anytime you want....doesn't mean you have to wait at 20% to charge. If u r at 90% also can charge. Please refer to previous post for reference....

With all the WiFi, notifications, locations services and Bluetooth disabled, and the brightness set to half (default), my 3G drained 6% of battery after using Facebook and Twitter for almost half an hour, and I haven't use safari nor play music yet. I wonder how users can use less than 15-20% per day by enabling 3G. Sigh, one can't really play games for long without charging it.

I apologise if this question has been answered before notworthy.gif

If I were to change my iphone battery, how much would it cost and how long does it take to have the battery changed ? Is it that we can go to any Apple service centre and change the battery on the spot ?

Thank you for answering this basic question blush.gif

I'm using ip4. Before going to sleep I made sure all background apps are closed. My 3G was on, cellular data on, wifi off, push notification only allow Tango, location services only allow maps and compas. After 7 hours idle, battery life dropped from fully charged to 85 percent. WTF?
