I noticed that if you turn off the WI-FI, the battery last much longer

Mine WiFi always on whenever I'm at home because using WiFi have better battery life than using Edge or 3G

Good to hear that. When I read your post, I knew already that it cannot be 4.3.3. It has to be the battery.

erm
my iPhone 3GS only have 1 and half year life
but since last year dec or earlier
if not mistaken
after 4.2.1
my battery is getting bad (not yet worse)
and still not enough 1 year
only will auto off around 20% or sometimes lesser a lil bit
but wont auto off when using apps
canot remember until which version
really canot use my phone to the full potential at hall
or even half
charged 100% and use within4 hours
already auto restart when i surfing or using fb
with no notifications rclxub.gif

btw just now tried to calibrate my phone
auto turned off after down to 1%
i charged a while then it shows charging with 5% battery

p/s: I noticed it charge up very fast
now already 70% within 1 hour or 1 hour and little more

last time need charge around 3-4 hours only can get 100%

Hi Guys,

I think I m experiencing battery drain as well. Normally i charged my phone fully before I sleep that will be about 12am...

Then whenever i get up..i should still have about 97% at 6am

However, nowadays I only have 93% despite turning everything off.

And on average day time with hardly any usage, my battery drains at a rate of about 7-8% / 2 hours....is that normal ?

Hi Guys, I have restored to original settings and now i have been surfing on 3G data continuously for more than 4 minutes...I m still at 100% no drop at all..

So i can confirm that Cydia 1.1.1 actually drains the battery.. quite badly...surfing on 3G data - every 1% / 2 mins...

I'm thinking of upgrading my iPhone.
Though I'm currently using an sim-free version of iPhone, but I did experienced with an unlocked iPhone before, the battery was draining super fast.
May I know how is this battery consumption performance on a unlocked iPhone 4 now? Is it still high, or just normal?

Guys, close all the background application which is running without your knowledge. Just follow the below instruction:

* Tap the home button twice.
* At the bottom of the screen you’ll see a row app icons. These are the apps that are running. Slide your finger to move forward or backward through the apps. Chances are you’ll have more than the four that first show up.
* Touch one of the app icon’s and hold your finger on it until they all start wiggling. A small red circle will appear at the top left of the icon.
* Tap on the red circle and the app icon will disappear. The app is now no longer running in the background.
* When you’re done shutting things down tap the home button and the apps will stop wiggling.
* Tap the home button again to return to your home screen.
* These steps will work even if you are currently using an app. In other words, you don’t have to be on the home screen to bring up the row of running apps.

And yes, off the push notification which we're not so much. Even you off the notification, you can still always view the updates for the application when you open them smile.gif

I just tried but not sure whether it's working or not. Gonna give a try and pray it will help on managing good battery life.

I have an even weirder problem

Added on August 6, 2011, 1:40 amMy iphone4 was originally running on 4.1 since day 1. 1 month ago. It started having "fever". It warms up at times and cools down by itself. Battery will discharge quickly during heat up. Even after apps closed, mail acc deleted , notifications off, wifi off. So i restore to 4.3.4 n surprise, the fever is still around. Dont know how to explain to support as problem is intermittent. As of this moment, i hve been on this forum for the past 2 hours and the fever has not returned. Battery discharge is around 10%
