help pls, i hv updated to version 3.0 since 18/6 & was running smoothly. since yest i realize my batt drain very quickly, it is also a bit sluggish while using it. this morning when i charge the batt & after 3 hrs of charging, it was only half full so i decided to do backup restoration. as the restoration was in process the the battery level drop drastically at the same time. now after i hv fully restored and reboot my iphone, the battery level is down at critical level. As anyone encounter similar issue... pls help, tq

Added on August 6, 2011, 1:40 amMy iphone4 was originally running on 4.1 since day 1. 1 month ago. It started having "fever". It warms up at times and cools down by itself. Battery will discharge quickly during heat up. Even after apps closed, mail acc deleted , notifications off, wifi off. So i restore to 4.3.4 n surprise, the fever is still around. Dont know how to explain to support as problem is intermittent. As of this moment, i hve been on this forum for the past 2 hours and the fever has not returned. Battery discharge is around 10%

Guys, close all the background application which is running without your knowledge. Just follow the below instruction:

    * Tap the home button twice.
    * At the bottom of the screen you’ll see a row app icons. These are the apps that are running. Slide your finger to  move forward or backward through the apps. Chances are you’ll have more than the four that first show up.
    * Touch one of the app icon’s and hold your finger on it until they all start wiggling. A small red circle will appear at the top left of the icon.
    * Tap on the red circle and the app icon will disappear. The app is now no longer running in the background.
    * When you’re done shutting things down tap the home button and the apps will stop wiggling.
    * Tap the home button again to return to your home screen.
    * These steps will work even if you are currently using an app. In other words, you don’t have to be on the home screen to bring up the row of running apps.

And yes, off the push notification which we're not so much. Even you off the notification, you can still always view the updates for the application when you open them

I just tried but not sure whether it's working or not. Gonna give a try and pray it will help on managing good battery life.

Android have an app name 'Task Killer'. I think the step u mention is about the same programme i used b4. 

No problem at all dude. I'd tried and works fine for me now. The battery can last for 2 days if don't stick too much on game

u r rite mate...when u r not playing game n online the battery can last for 2-3 days.. 

Yaloh but I think all the phone are the same when it's come to battery. If you play more online and games the battery will drain faster than normal so cant blame too much on battery but perhaps of our usage though.

exactly mate..the way u use the phone will reflect on the battery performance... 

but really cannot withstand with smartphone's battery .. gotta charge everyday

yeap acceptable ..
i just changed my battery.. even i din turn on my edge (connected to wifi only).. my battery get drained almost 50% a day.. probably due to winterboard i think

hi guys. quick question. i'm a noob user, just got my iphone barely a month ago. full charge of my phone last less than one day.

does overcharging the phone (e.g. fell asleep and the phone charges continuously 100% for few extra hours) will cause the battery performance reduce dramatically?
