QUOTE(Honky @ Jul 26 2009, 04:16 PM)
Yo Alvin, not to burst your bubble, but the Rufus who made it to 3rd placing match isn't Don Don but one of the 8 of us CM guys that went. I didnt notice another Rufus but i remember not seeing any other Rufus user making it through qualifying. On the note of Ken, yeah he did the taunt intentionally to see if you would charge headfront, he uses it all the time on us back in the studio, and he doesnt use it to intentionally offend ppl, he's actually a very nice guy and means no harm, its just a tactic that even Daigo uses back in SF3 days. Keep it cool man.

Back to my earlier question about the PS3 stick compatibility, i know both MADCATZ TE and HRAP3 works with PC, but i'd like to know has anyone tried them with the PC version of SF4, as SF4 is a Games for Windows Live game on PC, i'm afraid Microsoft might do something shady to cause incompatibility
*
im using HRAP 3 on SF4 PC - it works without any problems; plug & play. I'm not sure about MADCATZ TE though.

i wonder if i change my HRAP 3 buttons to sanwa will make any differences?

cause buttons are juz.... buttons right? Unless they have different sensitivity or better responds which may help my gaming performance?

any comment or suggestion?

check that out, everything you need to know is there. (and im eating so cant type much lol)

Man didnt know that it would be so complicated to learn about "buttons". rclxub.gif

I used to have a cheapo hori stick back in the days when i used to play tons of tekken 4 on my ps2. Even though it was my 1st arcade stick, I could tell that it was unresponsive n after awhile, the stick starts to loosen up.

Maybe I should try to get my hrap3 buttons replace to sanwa too. But seeing that there are so many types of buttons to choose from, im not sure which 1 to get already.

Any1 here sells them locally? Can't CoD though, I'm staying in JB.

desmond, i am a first time modder, which buttons should i go for?
you made it sound like the screw in button is a better option.
QFT^ I'm too a 1st time modder. The more I read about parts, the more i hesitate to place an order for the buttons now. Feel like i need to read more to find out what is best for me & whether i can get to fix the buttons in ezily(dont wanna screw-up my precious HRAP3) hehe

so would a Sanwa OBSF be good? it will get loose in what way?

yeah, my best so far when it comes to TRF that is.. I came 2nd last week in a mini tourney (8 players).

@darkstalker: sure, i'll try to be available for some matches, maybe can have some casuals at outpost or summin. plus im still not good at the boxer matchup since i dont play good boxers that frequent anymore(got owned by one last week though LOL), they exists here but i just dont get to fight them that much.

Damn, can't believe the TE stick dropped price damn fast ~_~
Below RM600 now
*
I believe the initial market price of TE in My was too high. In America, they are selling it for around USD149 which is about RM530.

Anyone here played onestopbrother before? His sagat is so good that I felt demoralised, any non-top tier characters would appear hopelessly weak sad.gif in my case. Can't even win one round unless using balrog.
*
Speaking of demoralised, I myself was so demoralised yesterday losing 20+ straight games with not a single round won until, i felt like wanna quit playing SF4 altogether(seriously). I didn't get to learn or felt clueless as to what should i do to beat this guy, everything i do he has an answer for it and he switches characters every game makes things harder for me. The only thing i get from that loss is a very sad, demoralize feeling & worse of all not a single thing was learn at all. So at that time i felt like i was getting bullied to the max. sigh...

wow, lately i've been trying to catch ppl of the air with FA, but it seems like its not getting hit at all, instate i get dp / grabed my the opponents.

is it the timing of my FA release of FA is not useful anymore against experience players

In a sense, usually experienced players can counter their way out of FA. Especially if the FA already absorbs a hit, cause your open ofter that absorbtion. Sometimes you could back dash after u absorb the hit and punish back what the opponent does afterwards. Just a mental thing to do on your opponents smile.gif
*
yea thats what i notice too, but i juz wanna know if it has anything to do with the FA release or the frame of the FA release is higher than 3 frames... time to check it out at eventhubs

::edit::

aik... its 2 frames wor that means that it should be able to beat most dp/grab/jab when the opponent lands. Could be my timing is off, but then again from lots of match videos, i dont see any of the pro us FA to AA.

What's ur user ID on GFWL? I try to add you when I go to my friend's place. He does go online on and off. As for me. I mostly play offline whenever possible. Lag and Spikes drives me mad!
*
It's the same as my LYN nickname, U can checkout the list of players in the Gamer'shideout SF4 thread. As for the lag spike issue, i think it depends, but most of the time it's smooth. I've never encounter problems playing especially with Alvin.

The lag issue could be due to a few reason, CPU capabilities, ur Graphic settings, ISP, n Anti Virus.

Here u go, copy paste from srk forum:

Headbutt - Charge down , up + punch / punchx2 ( for EX)
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=178721

* invincibility frames on startup (can go thru fireballs!)
* FP headbutt has hella horizontal range
* get into the habit of executing the move using UP BACK. This way you keep your back charge!
* Maintaining your back charge is the key to juggle with ultra afterwards:
charge d, ub+punch, [hold b as you land], f,d,f+PPP, then during ultra hold KKK for rush uppers to juggle
