KL you just need to plan your trip lor or get your smarttags ready... example instead of fed.hwy, use the tolled roads in PJ lor.. or smart tunnel if heading to jln ampang etc.. or duke to setapak for example.. no problem wan.. laugh.gif

driving in ipoh also can be a hassle, super long traffic lights at places (the road no load sensor or what?) laugh.gif
or at round abouts dem slow wan, they dunno how to merge into the roundabouts smoothly.. the oncoming car so far away also still waiting for them to clear before moving.. laugh.gif

Received the steelbook version of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon from Amazon UK. Very good price for a steelbook. Good PQ and AQ. Cannot match AQ of House of Flying Daggers but very good nonetheless. The PQ for the HOFD in Amazon UK(region locked) is better than the US version.

How can PQ be different with different region. Individually mastered?

HOFD is unique. It was encoded to BD in US by Sony and the master copy was different than the encode done by the Fox Pathe in the UK. There are a few titles like this. The other is Terminator 2. UK encode was done initially by Optimum which is reportedly better than the Skynet Editions and the initial US edition.

Just came back from KL AV. BD's selling for RM72 (single disc movies) and RM96 (2 disc movies). Pretty decent selection but not too sure if they are from US or not. The print on the sleeve looks fairly "ciplak". Some UK titles were on sale as well. rclxms.gif

Didn't buy any though as I was looking fo newer titles which were not available. whistling.gif

Raymond's sales staff insists that all the BDs sold at KL AV Fair is imported from US, but I believe its not 100%. Saw some titles there similar packing with Speedy's. Maybe imported, but maybe fr HK?

Yeah, some US versions do come with Asian languages as well. Tricky.

But I guess those without Asian subtitles are US/UK version? rclxub.gif

Robin - I didnt get Ironman and Kungfu Panda as I believe its Asian version. You sure Kungfu Panda is US version?

I have 2 questions:-

1)  No one's really interested in the current LOTR BD Trilogy.  Will there be an Extended Version/Director's Cut soon that I don't know of?

2)  Star Wars I - III.  Its not out yet, right?  Why so, esp. so long after its premiere?

1. I am intrsted in de Ext Ed only.. De Bd version of tis will eventually be out..

2. George Lucas has always been kinda slow in implementin new format for his classics.. Again itll evetually end up with a HD version..

After sayin tat there are a lot of old favs tat might get a rebuy for instance Back to the Future series ; Indy 1 - 3..

Cheers

Yes, I'm pretty sure becoz
1) no chinese/thai/indonesian subtitle & languages
2) double checked with the back cover listed on amazon US, exactly the same

As for Iron Man, I believe it's HK version coz the back cover not quite same with the one listed on amazon US
No PG rating at the back

Hi guys. Anyone bought Jet Li's Fearless from US amazon?

http://www.amazon.com/Jet-Lis-Fearless-Blu...i/dp/B001HUWQEK

The HK version has PCM 7.1 and DTS HD-MA 7.1. Would like to confirm if the US version is the same? THanks in advance.
