...Watched Dark City BD again yesterday. Still amazed...

A good example of a DNR-ed (Digital Noise Reduction) BD movie... but I'd prefered it over grain nod.gif

Ok, bro... that's fair enough. Will probably buy once price drop really low because there's no extra feature to die for (Warner don't seem to bother to put anything here...). At least overall much better upgrade than my old flipper disc dvd. But still couldn't understand why the need to put like 17 different subtitles in here...!!??! tongue.gif

Yeap, Amazon has the best customer service among online retailers that I know of. They never failed to reply my email later than a day!!

Talking about expedited shipping method, 2 of my replacement orders (lost in shipment) so far were delivered via this method. Another order was sent using this too (without having to pay the extra fee) because it was shipped almost 2 weeks after I made the order due to stock shortage nod.gif

Mostly pop, easy listening/radio friendly songs. David Foster is one of the most celebrated record producer, musician, composer etc... from Canada. He has worked wif artists like Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Celine Dion, Chicago, EWF, Mariah Carey, Michael Bolton, Kenny G amongst others... He has won 15 Grammys & being nominated 44 times!! notworthy.gif

so the panda BD is this normal DVD9s 8.5GB authored with BD format (BD9)? or the real single layer BD25?

must go and see upclose if the panda BD case is good or not..

some of the US cases dem soft and brittle.. can break off easily wan..  sad.gif
*
I never bought one b4, but I think both are in the market. For the "real" BD one (the more expensive than the D9 one), they took a 50GB movie & sardine-crammed into their 25GB disc.

The US case especially the "ELITE" brand memang brittle, always broke especially at the top & bottom of the spine (the side of the casing) when arrived fom Amazon mad.gif Malas to return to Amazon, a big hassle.... as long the disc is ok nod.gif But your collection oredi cacat a bit...

Watched Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.

Fathil shd forget abt getting this one on BD when it comes out. Stylized grain, just like the 1st one.

Very good LFE all around. THX Cinema AQ was at least worth while.

Can't say much abt the movie though..
*
Ha ha ha... you're right!

But I'll beat myself up silly if I don't buy T:ROTF when it comes out on BD!! With this movie, any "minor issue" is easily forgiven... the BIG thing is the movie as a whole... laugh.gif

Actually even for Oppo it is not region free from the factory. However you can do a hardware hack to make it region free. Some shops like SLT will do the hack for u (extra charge of course) and you can buy the hacked Oppo from them. If you buy direct from Oppo it is not hacked.

Even for other BD players there are third parties out there who can do or sell the hardware hack.
*
Dats right, but then again you wouldn't want to buy direct from Oppo ie., it'll be from US... then there's other issue like 'stepping down' power and etc. to consider. In S'pore, most shop selling this Oppo model already being hacked, so no problemo... and the warranty still stand from the seller, at least. Just wish, if it will be sold here in M'sia too...

And yes, if only anyone can hacked PS3 to be region-free... is there such a service here? But actually I'm more concern with PS3 (or a BDp) to be DVD region-free rather than BD, since most of my BD purchases are from US [Region A] anyway. But when BD titles like HellBoy 2; where the 2nd disc is a DVD, I can't play 'em on my PS3... have to switch to my "non-upscaler" DVDp, which is a letdown.... doh.gif

if the PS3 is modded.....it'll probably function only as a BD player.....you can forget about playing games.
*
Yup, I agree.... you've got a point there, bro.

On the spending of BDs, I don't really set any restriction... it depends what titles being release or selling with good deal on that particular month. I can go 2 months without buying anything (dats because I have over abundance of titles on the previous months) hehe... tongue.gif
