QUOTE(kalkeat @ Aug 18 2011, 02:53 AM) other shop that i surveyed cost around rm97-100 for 4kg. It just i got a discounted member price, 5% off i think.or if u want cheaper, maybe u can try find a repack food cat. my friend bought IAMS repack cat food from his Vet, cost 30-50% cheaper than original pack. I took home a street cat that i have fed/pet for almost a year behind my kopitiam. She recently gave birth to 7 lovely kittens but made a mistake of putting them where they shouldn't belong and wouldn't survive. So I had to bring them all back since they were 3 days old (IINM). At first the mother was a bit defensive of her kittens but she learnt to trust me and let me touch her babies since the first time I brought them home. She even let me touch them when she was feeding them. Sadly, 1 kitty died on day 5, but the rest are surviving since she is a very good mother. Now is already the 10th day, and almost all of them has started to open their eyes. Hopefully all of them will survive and grow to become healthy active kittens, which I definitely have to give away someday. I've been scouring the net for advice on taking care of them. Luckily she is a very good mother, so I just need to concentrate on taking care of her.

I can't take care of all of them, gonna be a handful as they're all still small. How do you do it? I have to wait least 8-10 weeks before I can give them up (so i've read). I gotta kitten-proof their cat house and play area ASAP before they start to get naughty and poke around and get stuck. I've had to rescue kittens in my house's drain pipings and under the ceiling before. QUOTE(meiiseenei @ Aug 23 2011, 04:38 PM) Ooh the kittens are adorable!Like the fully red one on the right and the one completely on the left in particular. it's orangy colour rather than red. 2 of them are of this colour, they have very fluffy fur and they grow the fastest! I can't quite tell them apart yet. the one on the left-most is almost 90% black. I was worried about this particular one and the fully white one because they are the smallest and seem to grow slower than the rest. But they seem to be feeding well. I've lost a white kitten a few days earlier and now only left 1 white. I still dunno the sex of my kittens. Haven't give names to them nor the mother too. Any ideas? |

i just found the body of my cat today morning, FML. this is the 2nd time i need to bury my cat.
Just one question, i notice 3 cats who's death ranged in this 3 month (april - today) , non of them had visible wounds and no blood bleed. Could anyone provide an insight on why these cats died with no apparent reason? |

QUOTE(idunnolol @ Aug 24 2011, 11:50 AM) i just found the body of my cat today morning, FML. this is the 2nd time i need to bury my cat. well first you need to check and see the history of your cat...Just one question, i notice 3 cats who's death ranged in this 3 month (april - today) , non of them had visible wounds and no blood bleed. Could anyone provide an insight on why these cats died with no apparent reason? - buy? adopt? long hair? short hair? age - kitten, adult, senior? are they siblings or different family? - have you ever bring them to the vet for vaccine, deworm, medical check up? - what do they eat? what is their diet? - are they outdoor cat? or just indoor? or maybe both in and out. - if outdoor, does your neighbor OK with cat? trust be human do anything to get rid of something they dont like.. i know neighbor poison cat by giving them food and mixing with poison for rats... believe it or not, its happen in this world with cruelty. possibility poison. it can be from insect or another small animal which they play or bite or even eat. also possibility, 1 cat got infection and others get it too... sometimes you can't tell or see if the cat is sick.. illness like flu fever may get from one cat to another cat. always remember.. CATS ARE GOOD IN HIDING THEIR SICKNESS... they look OK but sometimes they don't... if you really pay attention to them, you can see the changes in them from day to day. so the only best way to know is to meet your vet... if there's still cat in your care... tell the vet that 3 cats died every following month. perhaps you need to keep your cat indoor if they are going outside.. just to see if they are still alive being indoor. good luck!
