How long he has been like this?? Why didn't u send it to the vet immediately?? He may not survive this weekend because of the venom. If u were bitten by a snake, will u wait for weekend to come then go the hospital??

QUOTE(tunertoobe @ May 12 2011, 08:37 PM)
Hey cat owners. I need some advise.
I have a cat, male, around 3 years old. He is in a bad condition. He is losing fur from his left leg, and up towards his shoulder and then to the neck and face. Not only that the skin seems to be flaky/scabby and very rough. Now it seems that the skin is starting to bleed.

I suspect that this has to do with that snake bite he had when fighting a snake. His left leg is a bit swollen and I can see 2 puncture wounds. He seemed to recover, but I think the venom is starting to eat some of his tissue away. Can't find any info on the net to confirm this though. Poor him. Used to be a muscly fella with a handsome face.  sad.gif  Now he starts to act weirdly. Before this we can leave him in the house at night and he won't make a mess. Now he seems to pee anywhere he pleases.

Is there anything I can give or do to the cat while waiting this weekend to send it to the vet?

How long has this been going on? It sounded like a very bad case of scabies until you mentioned the bite wound.
Tell us where you live and we could suggest some clinics that may be open on the weekend

Hi Everyone! Im a newcomer here and I need your advise smile.gif

Im going off for a short trip (7 days) and I need to find a pet hotel for my 2 adult cats. Preferable a cat friendly environment. Actually this will be their first time being away from home so I want to make sure their temp home will be comfortable for them.

Im staying in Putrajaya and there's a pet shop nearby my house, Klinik Haiwan Mesra at Presint 15 Diplomatic that offer a pet hotel service. Anyone have any experience before with the clinic? Hope you can share it with me your experience in terms of their services.

Im also open to any pet hotel recommendations around selangor area. Hope you can state the location, service and the pricing.

My main priority is to make sure my cats will be comfortable in their temp home. Hope you guys can give me some suggestions. Thank you. smile.gif

Hi,

I have heard negative and positive comments about boarding at Klinik Mesra. You can read about it at petfinder.com.my under Vets and Docs review. Good boarding that I have heard will be Pet Epicure which is located at Taman Melawati. Its pricing but worth it thumbup.gif You can also try home boarding at Seri Kembangan. He is friend of mine and does boarding. So far so good. His contact is prinzi81@yahoo.com

Hi!! There, do you have friends or family member who love cats?? If you do, you can leave your cat at home and pay your friends/family member to come twice daily to clean up the litter box and feed them and change their water bowl. My cats love their routines and hate it when I put them for boarding. There were 1 time, they bite me when we reach home after I took them from the boarding place. So I hired my neighbour's daughter who also loves cat (the family also have 2 dogs and 3 cats) to come and be my cat sitter. She came twice daily (morning and evening) to clean up the litter box, feed the cats, change the water in the water bowl and play with my cats. But she is in uni now and hardly come home except holiday. So now I have new cat sitter. She is an indonesian lady who cleaning up our apartment area. I hire her to become my cat sitter. She also very happy coz she got extra income. Now I also hire her to clean up my house once a month. She's very good with cats, all my cats love her and also very good with cleaning job.

If you have this option, maybe u should give it a try. It was nerve wrecking in the beginning. I was worried and call the cat siter 3 -4 times a day. But after sometimes the result of their work show how good this cat sitter biggrin.gif

Good luck.

There are lots of persian breeders nowadays.
It all depends on your friends budget biggrin.gif
A persian costs roughly around RM2k to RM3k
Breeders that I know would be Padipaddy, Catizadi Persians just to name a few.
These persians come with CFA certs
If you dont want a registered persian you can find lots of them in mudah.com but no point in spending RM2k and above if you dont get a CFA cert.

My 12 years old cat died yesterday. My dad suspect someone might have beaten her up. Judging from her wound.

Ek Ek is good a cat. Love playing with children and never once bite or scratches anyone.

Don't understand why people would beat her to death? Sigh...

Maybe she got bitten by a dog?? Happen to my mum's cat once. Human being are the most cruel creature. Just look around us. Human destroy nature, killing each other, definitely not hesitate of killing poor animal. The person who beat up your cat (assuming she was beaten to death) will be punish either he/she still alive or after life.

Hi guys,

Nice to meet you. I love cats too which is quite funny because I used to hate them (cat poop in the garden on a warm day yuck). Now, I live, breath, love cats:D

Our new kitten (our first one with breed la) will be arriving next week. We have one other cat (a European Shorthair which in other words is the local pariah cat in Europe). My boyfriend adopted her when she was 6 weeks old, she's now 6 years old!

We were not informed before so our cat only got supermarket food but we did some research (before getting the new kitten) and it turns out that our supermarket food is really lousy! So, we started feeding Royal Canin and after the kitten is about 6-8 months old, we'll switch to Orijen. For wet food, we give Carnibest.

So excited about our new kitten:D
