DA got insurance and education 0% for 10 months..I am fully utilising it to pay my money for my shares!!!
*
You know the principle of money makes money. biggrin.gif

It's a risky game. Make sure don't over-invest and you must reserve the fund to pay for shares in an acc, so that you will have enough fund to settle your debt after the 0% tenure.

why must need that priority pass haa.... i think all SCB cardholder platinum and above entitled to free unlimited access to KLIA plaza premium lounge...
*
While being given access to KL or worldwide plaza premium lounge is good, a lot of travellers on business purpose do not utilise the facility because of rush headlong in catching the flight on time. Nevertheless, it is awesome when you can relax during a transit time.

QUOTE(muscaa @ Jul 10 2009, 07:58 PM)
I went to maybank TP fair last year. Couldnt apply AMEX on the spot. 2 hour approval only apply to visa and master card application.
*
They need 2 hours to issue temporary or permanent card? It's still not as efficient as Citi who issued card within 1 hour. smile.gif

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 10 2009, 10:08 PM)
Ah well.. in that case then I'll just put in the application wherever is convenient.  Will do it lah, but not so soon biggrin.gif
*
Don't need to rush and jump into the boat too early. biggrin.gif As the card is free for life, you can apply for it anytime you like, or when there is further promotion like freebies giveaway and new 8x or 10x MR. tongue.gif

Nope. I told them that I do not want the debit and current account. So maybe they are not opening any account except cc..
*
It's almost impossible. I also informed SCB I just wanted a cc without opening a current acc. But after a few days upon receipt of the Just1 cc, they sent a cheque book to me directly and charged the stamp duty into my Just1 acc.

Good luck on your SCB Visa Infinite application; unfortunately, based on the criterias they're asking for I don't qualify sad.gif
*
Even if your income is slightly less than the requirement, the bank will still consider to approve it. Just use your Amex Plat cc as a reference, I am pretty sure the CL is good enough to meet the eligibility. However, it's up to you to make the decision, whether you need the card NOW or you don't really utilise the main benefit (such as access to plaza premium lounge, golfing facilities, etc).

QUOTE(kneok @ Jul 12 2009, 08:28 AM)
my pay is above 2.5k .. still rejected lol
*
Banks assess your ability to pay based on a few factors. Income is only part of them. They also look into your job nature, company, commitment, debt status and spending pattern, just to name a few.

I also returned a survey form and 3000 TP will be rewarded. Let's see if I'll get this TP.
*
Just complete a survey form and get 3000 TP in return? It sounds good! biggrin.gif
Hope it's not something like a 10-page form. smile.gif

i meant those which u have to fax them a form and u won't know when they will deduct as well as those monthly installments etc
*
In that case, it can't help. You can't fix the payment day (Friday) for autopay. You have to do it manually via call-in or online on Fridays.

Besides, one of the advantages of online payment is that you can fix the payment date.

I encounter another inconvinience while using JustOne card. I went to Toyota  Service center today & pay using my JustOne card. The card terminal which come from AmBank, don't even recognize the card. It straight away give error when the cashier slot in the card.  Luckily the service center have another terminal from CIMB which is working properly.
*
You just have to accept the fact that some old terminals don't recognise Just1 cc, as it is the most "advanced" cc in M'sia at this point in time.

Well, I've received the e-statement for my 2nd month bill today. Free 5000 choice points have been given and shown in the acc. biggrin.gif

More on JustOne ... how about we collect info on the terminals that can accept and cannot accept the card ? Some one could carry over the info some how.
*
I'm not sensitive and observant about cc terminals. smile.gif So far I only encountered payment failure once, that was at a restaurant in KLCC. During that time, I didn't have enough time to "teach" the cashier as I was rushing to somewhere else. Overall, I am satisfied with this cc, at least for the time being.

if im an existing maybank classic visa & mastercard holder, can i 'upgrade' to gold card at the treatsfair? need to cancel the classic card? i already have public bank gold card. hmm.gif
*
Just bring along your existing classic cc and request for an upgrade on the spot. If your request is approved, the new gold cc will supercede the classic cc.

Make sure you bring other supporting document such as your gold cc from other bank.

thanx for the info. that means my current 13.5%pa interest will carry forward to the gold card? really noob here. i also have a few monthly autodebit to my maybank classic, so need to transfer that as well. sweat.gif
*
Not a problem at all. smile.gif It won't affect the interest rate. But, if you make payment in full, is that interest rate important to you? As for the autopay facilities, you need to update your new cc number with the respective payees.

well my non gold card RHB EVO CL >30K. Years ago my UOB and HLB before upgrade to Plat also >RM30K. My AMEX Gold CC now also >RM30K (initially gave me RM20K).
*
Happy to hear that there are people like you who are qualified but always keep a low profile. For me, I also feel benefits are more important than the colour of the card. I'd rather use CCs with more reward points and cash rebates.

Howdy everyone, good afternoon. Glad to be back. Cheers !

Wonder if anyone can reply me, is the HLB Plat offers a 30 days free interest for purchases compared to the regular 20 days?

Thanks.
*
It's 20 days from the statement date. In fact, most retail purchases are made before the statement date. Therefore, you can actually enjoy more than 20 days interest free period.

Thanks winner. U are sure a winner with CC.

This morning I went to settle my dues at near Komtar and saw the HLB banner for Platinum Business card, it says 30 days.
*
It's different segment, only available for self-employed people. The interest free period can be longer. This is a Plat Business cc.

What is the best method in preventing CC from being spoilt inside the wallet? I have CCs that were bent and cracks apears because I wear jeans and the shape of the wallet also curved into halfmoon shape.

Now I use old CC and used them as Pelapik so that the thickness of CC is thicker and the valid CC is not damaged.
*
1. Don't wear too tight pants
2. Don't carry unneccessary cards, coins and papers in your wallet
3. Put your wallet in front pocket, instead of back pocket. biggrin.gif

I am thinking of getting a thin aluminium credit card size plate as the base. Non magnetic and light. So scientific.

Hahahaha.

You adore your new Plat cc so much. tongue.gif I will just replace it when it is spoilt. And of course, I'll fight to get the replacement fee waived. smile.gif Nontheless, never have I ever experienced this. biggrin.gif

oh, new segment? HLB so creative and aggresive.

It isn't new segment. What I meant was HLB Plat Business cc targets different market segment, namely self-employed people. smile.gif Some other banks also feature Business cc.
