Need to ask fellow buyers who bought Dell products especially the monitors..
Am thinking of buying the S2409W monitor from dell. I read from reviews that it's quite a decent monitor, however, i'm very picky especially when it comes to dead pixels. Even 1 dead pixel bothers me. Do you know dell's policy on that? Anyway had such experience before?

Zero dead pixel only applied on premium panel (aka most ultrasharp series, they got stated at below) others, if not mistaken, 5 dead pixels policy as same as most manufacturers.

which one is better Samsung 2494HS or Aoc 2434PW ? I would like to get Aoc 2434PW but it didnt have a DVI signal input. Is the any different between VGA and DVI signal? Will DVI signal look more better?

QUOTE(garagesell @ Jul 17 2009, 02:17 PM) Goggle Dead pixel test and u can find it. About dell 2409 vs AOC 2434, the AOC looks nicer for my eyes. However, Dell has an extra DVI port. Service wise shud be no different. Monitor rarely break down and a good monitor shouldn't break down dat easily. So, i wont give a dam about the Dell customer service. Is the any different between VGA and DVI signal? Will DVI signal look more better? Yes, check out the few pages back. There is a comparison between a DVI and Analog images. However, u can solve it using DVI-HDMI convertor but im not sure how much it cost. Im currently using Analog for my PC (intel graphics - no DVI) and HDMI for PS3. So the port is not a problem for me. if you got good eye sight, straightly you can recognize the dead pixel, it's just a dot on normal lcd screen when in use..

I actually am looking at AOC 2434PW as well. But the white back is not very appealing to me, not sure how many shops has the one with the grey back.
I think a HDMI converter cost only 17 to 20 ringgit. A forumer is selling it.
Will go to LYP to check the AOC this weekend.
