doods, shud i gave up my search for 2433BW or T240 or any 24" wif 1920x1200 res on the market today?

seems no 1 is willing to sell it to me... sad.gif

i've saved enuff d now and somehow skeptical on the normal 1920x1080 res.  unsure.gif

a question to those using 1920x1080 res + gaming, is it worth it?  hmm.gif

fyi, my current monitor is Samsung 932B 19"

thx in advance

Get a Dell 2408WFP 1920x1200 end of story smile.gif

1920x1080 gaming is quite weird.

the lower part seems shorter lol

Since I'll be watching movies most of the time, should I consider DCR? Does it significantly increase image quality? I've been reading through this thread and sometimes people suggest to turn DCR off, now I'm confused ady sweat.gif The Dells only have a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, no DCR hmm.gif

Dude, FYI Dell DOESN'T make LCD panels. The real manufacturer behind of the models you've listed are:

Dell 2405FPW 16ms (12ms G2G) 24"WS Samsung PVA (LTM240M1-L01)
Dell 2407WFP 6ms G2G 24"WS Samsung S-PVA (LTM240M2) or AU Optronics AMVA (M240UW01)
Dell 2408WFP 6ms G2G 24"WS Samsung S-PVA (LTM240CS05)
Dell 2709W 6ms G2G 27"WS Samsung S-PVA (LTM270CS01)
Dell S2409W 5ms 24"WS AU Optronics TN Film (M240HW01 V0)
Dell E228WFP 5ms 22"WS Samsung (LTM220M1-L01) or CMO (M220Z1L01) TN Film

The link I posted up shows the real manufacturer of Dell monitors, not showing the best panel out there, so can't judge by the source I suppose?

If can, top up RM200 to get 23-24" monitor ! You have more choices if your budget is RM700.

32" LCD TV is HD ready, which its resolution is only 1366 x 768 not 1920 x 1080. I guess 24" monitor was pretty nice already, you can get 26-30" monitor if you budget can afford it ! Between, I recommend AOC 2434 !

Nope, they don't make anything you mentioned above, they take up finished goods/parts/components from other manufacturers and assemble them together, and rebrand them with the shiny Dell logo on them.

Not all the panel is from Samsung, they put in LG.Philips, AU Optronics etc. panels as well, whichever is good.
