There are 2 default output for monitors... 60 and 120Hz.... only TN panel (2ms) are fast enough for 120Hz. Some 1680x1050 monitor can do be forced to do 75Hz through SL-DVI... dell 2209wa is one..

As a guide 120Hz requires 8.333ms "full pixel response", even 2ms GTG TN cannot do it perfectly.
60Hz... 16.7ms
75Hz... 13.3ms

5ms GTG should be sufficient for 75Hz.

Need a new monitor.

Currently torn between Samsung P2450 vs HP 2309m

I like HP coz it's sharper and glossy screen.

HP is also cheaper.

Got people recommend Viewsonic 2433 also but I am not a big fan of view sonic.

Suggestions people? Thanks!!

haha. Yeah. A lot of people does not like the glossy screen but I kinda like it. Same as the my MacBook. the screen is also glossy.

If the monitor is good for gaming, means it should be good for movies also la.

I'm not a gamer. Just using the monitor for movie and also maybe my wii. That's it.

I compared it with the samsung but i find the samsung not as sharp as the HP.

i think i would say ... ST2410 for the better spec , but the price is also more expensive, so i dunno if it apply for it unless u are getting special discount from dell ... i think it would be similiar cost to those of samsung / AOC ? considering the S2409W did not state the dynamic contrast i dunno it make changes or not.

but for rm600-700 + i think u can get better product from others brand IMO
