just to tell u also, the mic of E72 for conversation is better than N97, so just depends what u want? if u want a business phone and call and received call is your main concern go for E72, if u want more on multimedia and big screen then go for N97..

if u got the cash why not? buy both. end of story

actually the reason i go for e72 is the batt life. N97 cannot rely... LOL, but bigger screen wor, with keyboard, i wan a internet mobile lol. E72 when i touch the real unit, felt the screen a little, small...

just got my E72, everything seems ok so far...

except for light leakage on front keypad...

-is it possible to disable backlight?
-shortcut to lock keypad (besides POWER button)?

I've got problem with the "Silent" key (change profile to silent, then becomes general again... and also the other way... but not all the time) and also the default calculator (cannot use decimal)...

woooo...seem like the E72 got alot of problems....then I need to rethink whether to get one or not....

nk phones starting sure got probs, my n80 early firmware, Web browser crash after page loading more than 1.9 MB, later prob fix.

anyone can help me to get the Push To Talk setting?

Maybe. Partly fix, N80 still runs out of memory when surfing and music player together. Just that the crash dun happen so often.

E72 got nice speedy CPU, but the screen still old QVGA 2.4", lolz mismatch.

im quite interested by this phone...just have a couple of questions:

1. when you insert the USB Data cable to your computer, does it charge the phone as well? i have e63, and i insert the data cable whenever i need to connect my laptop to the internet, but the battery drains very fast, having the same cable to do the charging is a very big plus.

2. How about the GPS?im travelling around KL a lot and having Garmin is a very2 big plus.....izzit fixed yet for e72?

1. E72 can be charged by USB.

2. I doubt it has been fixed yet as neither Garmin nor Nokia has come out with anything new.

"got a brand new ori e72 phone just 7 days ago. into the 5th day of using it (which was 2 days ago), it decided to give me 1 stuck pixel. fine! though i believe that with todays technology and production facilities, dead/stuck pixel shouldn't be happening anymore. and so i blame it on my pure bad luck to have gotten 1 spoil apple among millions of it. called up service centers around PJ area. no spare parts available yet as the model is too new. gotta wait for weeksssssssssssss for parts to arrive. why would i want to wait if the fault is not even mine right?? so i insisted for a new set replacement. service center ppl telling me dat they r in charge of repair only, n they can't replace a new one for me, n advised me to go to nokia msia hq.

then into the 6th day (which was just yesterday), there popped another stuck pixel!! so now i got 2 stuck pixels on my (let me repeat it out loud!) BRAND NEW ORI Nokia E72 screen!! alrite....1 dot then i can is my bad luck.......2 dots......there's no way it's my luck anymore. this is purely manufacturer defect, and qc problem.

so tomorrow i'm gonna go to nokia malaysia hq and insist on a new set.....by hook or crook!!

my advise to u all......think twice before buying nokia phones now. those words are from me, the nokia user of 10yrs!!"

when i see it with my own eyes, it's white. duno why it turns to green thru camera lense though. but still the dots are there.

My 5800XM 3.2inch LCd also zero dead pixel. Just wait some owners of e72 to report in to see whether are u the only one facing this problem or its common on this model

back to the Garmin XT problem? have anybody tried using the older version of the software? Who knows, it might work well with E72.
