got a brand new ori e72 phone just 7 days ago. into the 5th day of using it (which was 2 days ago), it decided to give me 1 stuck pixel. fine! though i believe that with todays technology and production facilities, dead/stuck pixel shouldn't be happening anymore. and so i blame it on my pure bad luck to have gotten 1 spoil apple among millions of it. called up service centers around PJ area. no spare parts available yet as the model is too new. gotta wait for weeksssssssssssss for parts to arrive. why would i want to wait if the fault is not even mine right?? so i insisted for a new set replacement. service center ppl telling me dat they r in charge of repair only, n they can't replace a new one for me, n advised me to go to nokia msia hq. then into the 6th day (which was just yesterday), there popped another stuck pixel!! so now i got 2 stuck pixels on my (let me repeat it out loud!) BRAND NEW ORI Nokia E72 screen!! alrite....1 dot then i can is my bad luck.......2 dots......there's no way it's my luck anymore. this is purely manufacturer defect, and qc problem. so tomorrow i'm gonna go to nokia malaysia hq and insist on a new set.....by hook or crook!! my advise to u all......think twice before buying nokia phones now. those words are from me, the nokia user of 10yrs!!

I heard of before about unscrupulous dealers swap & changed LCD of phones. But normally it occurs only to AP units.

my dad using e71.. oso give a lot of problem.. then he update the software to e72.. oso got a lot of problem, dead pixel oso got.. he change new lcd liao.. i dont know what problem coz i dont even care.. lol.. = =" he use for call and sms only..

saw de dot... so obvious... felt sorry for u... u surely are de unlucky one... nokia is getting their QC checked badly lately... izzit due to them pushing out the new product fast without really having a proper QC?

yalor. so big and obvious. some more at the most obvious position. angry or not?? it's not my fault, and i refuse to wait for weeksssssssssssssssssssssss for service. and i don't even want it to be serviced if it could be done now because i bloody deserve a new set as a replacement!!!
btw, if nokia msia refuse to replace a new set for me now, should i bring this case to the consumer tribunal??

u r going to nokia msia or nokia care center? just make a big hoo haa there and i'm sure u can get a replacement new set as ur set is barely a week old! gosH~

going nokia malaysia hq lah. already called the service center, they also already terang terang said they got no parts to service, and they cannot do any replacement, and they told me go nokia hq. normal msian culture, to push a person around because nobody wants to take up the responsibility. e-series....premium model......premium price.....very un-premium service......

i can tell u what nokia ppl will say. 1st, they will try to blame u dat u dropped da phone b4. 2nd, they will try to blame u dat maybe a bit of water got into it before. 3rd, they will try to blame u saying dat u overused or used da phone wrongly.
i can bet my last penny on that because those r da things dat i got when i called up da nokia helpline.
i did not drop da phone. not a single drop of sweat got to it before. talked on da phone for a total of 1 hour and 12 mins only for this 7 days, total data used is 20mb mostly for push emails/fb/twitter. and sms sent+received is less than 100 in total for 7 days. i have not even watch a single video clip or listen to a single mp3 with it. have not even take a pic with the camera yet. only played a game for less than 5mins. so i did not overuse or use the phone wrongly.

Actually most manufacturers imposed a dead pixel policy to safeguard themselves. The policy differs from one to another. They will only replace the LCD with 2 or more adjacent dead pixels, 3 or more non-adjacent dead pixels. I know this sucks especially if the LCD with QVGA resolution or lower.
