"got a brand new ori e72 phone just 7 days ago. into the 5th day of using it (which was 2 days ago), it decided to give me 1 stuck pixel. fine! though i believe that with todays technology and production facilities, dead/stuck pixel shouldn't be happening anymore. and so i blame it on my pure bad luck to have gotten 1 spoil apple among millions of it. called up service centers around PJ area. no spare parts available yet as the model is too new. gotta wait for weeksssssssssssss for parts to arrive. why would i want to wait if the fault is not even mine right?? so i insisted for a new set replacement. service center ppl telling me dat they r in charge of repair only, n they can't replace a new one for me, n advised me to go to nokia msia hq.

then into the 6th day (which was just yesterday), there popped another stuck pixel!! so now i got 2 stuck pixels on my (let me repeat it out loud!) BRAND NEW ORI Nokia E72 screen!! alrite....1 dot then i can is my bad luck.......2 dots......there's no way it's my luck anymore. this is purely manufacturer defect, and qc problem.

so tomorrow i'm gonna go to nokia malaysia hq and insist on a new set.....by hook or crook!!

my advise to u all......think twice before buying nokia phones now. those words are from me, the nokia user of 10yrs!!"

the big dot, came out last friday. the smaller dot came out yesterday.
when i see it with my own eyes, it's white. duno why it turns to green thru camera lense though. but still the dots are there.

well....whateva is the color won't matter anymore if ur phone has got 2 stuck pixels like mine. even worst....it's only 7 days old.

i wont try it now. don't want to be disappointed anymore. my heart can't take it

ok.....update here. after consulting the consumer tribunal ppl, they told me if i insist to open a file, my chances to win this case is only 50-50. why?? because i have not done what is being recommended by nokia to rectify this problem, which is to send it for a LCD replacement. if me myself is reluctant to follow their recommendations, then nokia can strike back to say that the user herself has not been following the advice though they r more than willing to help, and so there's no way they can replace a new set. but if i have follow everything recommended and problem still there, then only open a file, my chances to win is 100% already.

so, i brought it in for a LCD replacement. with some help from the consumer tribunal ppl (i guess they called up NCC to ensure dat things will be smooth for me), i got da spare part immediately. yes immediately. and my phone is serviced in only 2 hours

now my e72 screen is back to normal. no more ugly stuck pixels. and i hope dat it will last. else......there will be another war for me again

my advice: when dealing with big brand, be nastily smart!


and i tested my e72 with the earphone, it works fine. ringtone oso ok....loud enough for noisy environment.

dat's because da tribunal is in da picture now oledi....no more just me against nokia.

regarding tribunal....i didn't even step my foot into their office. i just called them up at 03-8882 5822.
told them i wanna file a claim becoz feel cheated by nokia, n so calling now to seek advice. then da nice lady forwarded my call to the perundangan officer. spoken to her for about 30mins. n da rest is history.....hehehe

but before that i got all my facts ready. i documented what happened to me in a piece of paper.....from A to Z....then when on da phone with dat lady, i told her all da sequence lor. she's also very helpful. i read to her my email from nokia somemore.

i guess to be successful here wif da tribunal ppl, 1st be as polite as possible, 2nd u gotta know ur facts, 3rd u gotta sound pity, 4th u gotta have a bit of luck - hopefully da officer u spoken to is in good mood dat day

Added on December 2, 2009, 11:15 pmthey have parts, but not enough dat's why telling me no parts lor. actually, they have 15 new lcd screen with them. but all reserved for customers oledi. i was shocked leh. so new model, oledi got 15 ppl waiting to have their lcd to be changed. but becoz i oledi got help from tribunal, they got no choice but to release 1 set for me 1st. so i duno i actually have cut which poor fella queue lor. hehehe.




y send to maxis center?? but always remember when u buy phone, change da theme to the darkest theme, boost up da light sensitivity to the max, and look carefully from corner to corner for any dead or stuck pixels at different different angle. at least u can reject that set there n then. unless u so unlucky like me, all ok until da 5th & 6th day only popped up stuck pixels.

speed good. very fast. mine is an unlimited data package. without minimum monthly commitment. everyday use to da max. my last month digi bill only 15 bucks

but this package is not digi official package that they r offering to users. it's customized corporate package for my company.

Added on December 5, 2009, 4:49 pmomg. u're oledi da 4th person i know with stuck/dead pixel on e72. what is wrong wif nokia?? don't they have quality control anymore?? and dat day da nokia ppl called me up. asking me to give their service a rating, and also how likely i would recommend nokia to my friends, from a point of 1 poor to 5 the best. for service i gave 0, and for recommendation oso i gave 0. damn i dun care whether 0 is an option or not. i suspect now dat mebe the 1st batch of e72 at msia here got some prob, but nokia never bother to highlight it out to the public.

been using for 1 month, only managed to use the charger for 4 times only, so can say 1 week 1 charge. my daily usage include, 1-3mins on da phone for about 10-20 times a day, sms about 10-20 times a day, wifi/3g all da times because for fb n email purpose, music about 10mins daily.
