Found few improvements on FW2.0
- Better GUI
- Improved wired stream performance, tested on 1080P Planet Earth's birds scene without stuttering.
- NFS setup without USB drive and works superbly.

I came across this... http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/reviews/270697/xtreamer.html

"As well as streaming media files from UPnP servers on your network, the Xtreamer can act as a UPnP server, so you can access files from other PCs in your home or over the internet. It also has basic NAS functions, letting you create shared folders. It supports SMB file shares, allowing you to see shared folders on your Windows PCs and vice versa. You can also access web-based content such as YouTube and Picasa Web Albums"

So, basically, I can use as a NAS? I mean, can I just copy paste my files easily from my pc using window explorer view?

yes u do smile.gif can plug in USB or ext hdisk and use the file manager straight from the TV to do the backup/copy job.
or log in from your browser of PC.

I noticed that Official Firmware 2.0 is different from Fw2.0b4.

-Added eTRAYz in the menu.
-Digital sound changed to DTS HDMA5.1 & Dolby TrueHD5.1 (Dolby True HD has spelling mistake doh.gif )
-some of my mkv which cannot be played in beta4 can be played flawlessly in Offi Fw.

Tonight will try out mkv with external flac audio, see how it works as stated in the firmware release notes.

Boss, you changed your avr dy?

Good to hear that it able to do HD audio pass through. Complete pass-thru as I noted that it is 5.1? What if the source is in 7.1?

Anyhow, still very worthy to buy considering this thumbup.gif

Xtreamer still waiting to get approval from DTS Labs for HD Audio passthru. Once they received the nod, they will release that functions to users like us....

By then, can send out for Taukeh to test.....

Updated to f/w 2.0 finally rclxm9.gif
some ppl said in X-treamer forum that it took them 15 minutes to update
for me, it took me less than 5 minutes to update

the UI now looks sharper coz it's HD
but still the same old boring look
not like wdtv live which looks much nicer doh.gif

the navigation still a bit lacking
not so responsive
the rest are just like the same
the info of IP address of UPnP is now added onto the main menu
and e-trayz feature is also added

I didn't try out on the internet radio coz I'm not hooking it to the net

As for the HD audio which I eagerly wanted to try
my HDD with the BDMV was borrowed by my friend yesterday, what a coincidence doh.gif
gonna get it back today to try out
