I found that Falken 912 tires is quite soft, and the treadwear is quite fast...

I predict it can last me maximum 30k km doh.gif

well again threadwear is very much depend on how u drive and the road condition hard to say... my gf's family car 175/70 R13 Michelin XM1 still good (4yrs and about 40k+ km done, with about 50% thread), but mine last time can last only for 1 yr with about 40k+ km...

review from me at LYN Vios Thread

welcome to the club, PS3 can be consider as UHP but it was listed as a extreme tire at most of the website as PS2 was in extreme category also... once u used a tire like this grade you will hardly find another tire like that next time... that was my problem after swap to Michelin PP2 on end of 2006, until now i never turn back to lower range of tire, UHP tire was fitted to my Vios since then...
*
i felt alot diff wif the set of tyre i previously use... its a big big jump for me.... cuz its diff size... previously was using 13' stock rim wif xm1 n ducaro ga but now 15' alloy... so i cant give much comment much...
both diff thing, cant compare... somemore i had my suspension serviced aswell
dunno hows the feel like if i downgrade to synergy m5 or my-01, nct5 or dura plus now

the truth is...YES!

michelin/BS/Yokohama will slightly look bigger/wider than Toyo/falken tires
u can go tire shop compare urself...SHE is telling truth but not bullshit!
but not 10mm different...it will me 1-3mm wider

yokohama ES501 ....one of the civic club favourite tire
always recommended by KLauto boss desmond to reduce tire noise...!

Michael, how does the PS3 fare against the PP2 in terms of noise/quietness? I noticed the threadwear of the new PS3 is surprisingly rated at 320, higher than the PP2 sweat.gif

sexy ps3 tread? well, to me, the goodyear assy is! brows.gif but i end up buying a ps3 for my regular ride.
easily beat the yokohama s.drive in overall performance!
best thing, i noticed my car return a lower fc too! still trying to figure out if it was the tyre that makes the 2 liter different tongue.gif

well noise is subject to cars also but my rear bearing not good already haven not had a quiet drive since 4 months so i think i need to change already, it cost me RM800 in SC and outside even JP stock also RM500 sweat.gif
yes the thread wear is higher, but grip is definitely is better than PP2 also..

well S Drive in UHP but PS3 is Max Performance so a step higher cannot compare much lo... the bad of GY F1 Asy is only available at 17" for 16" or 15" only F1 GSD3... but again what you want lo, directional tires is not quiet though... but different tire the comfort also difference...

Michelin XM1, Toyo Teo Plus both should be around RM150 and above... Falken 912 & Yokohama A Drive also ok, should be below RM150

A directional thread pattern does not automatically make the tyre noisy. Almost all Michelin's are directional tyres but they have very quiet thread and blocks.

Edit.. let me correct this.. Michelins are mostly asymmetrical, not directional as I mentioned. Therefore if the pattern is directional, then yes, most likely it will be noisy.

One more thing.. Goodyear F1 Asymmetric is an asymmetrical but uni-directional tyre. I believe it does not have a rotation arrow on the sidewall.
