I can't find a recent thread on this so I decided to open this...
Come share your experience and advice about this scholarship! About me, I will be studying diploma in UTM KL june this year! I have one question too: should I apply for PTPTN or PIDN? Which one is better? *Moderators/staff, if you find this thread irrelevant feel free to close it. thanks. |

its opened already.. can log in and fill up the forms..
and yes.. only IPTA.. no IPTS.. but UTP, Uniten, UUM and some others are included.. they're partially government U i guess. |

My sis also apply PIDN for UTM diploma,and she get it,
so u try to notice the esila website, its better to get PIDN than u apply for PTPTN, bcz diploma course is 3 years.. |

sometimes really wonder what JPA thinking, medic students get bond 10 yrs and others just let go... what a waste of taxpayers' money. |

i thought this PIDN is only for those who will be going for their 1st degree at IPTA? Did they stated Diploma students are eligible to apply so? i wonder..
Between PTPTN and JPA PIDn, of course, i will choose PIDN JPA lor.since it is a scholarships, and i wish to work under gov since now it is quite diff to find jobs outside esp the private company. By the way, there is another tajaan tambahan for SPM 9As students? so what is the difference of that with PIDN?? |

PIDN is for those who are already gotten a place in UPU application.. in Local Uni.. the same case u're in. u shud check ur application.. in the PIDN form... u have to list where ur studying and what qualification are u studying for and what qualification u have.. eg for u.. u'll have matrics qulification going for degree.. well.. its stated there.. for the uni.. it will be those in malaysia.. all locals.. except for some like UTP, Uniten, UUM where they are semi private. hmm.. its basically the same.. u get the scholarship.. monthly expenses.. and u have to serve bonds.. tats all |

I'm 2007 SPM leaver, ex-matric student.
I'm offered Petroleum engineering in UTM. I wanna get JPA scholarship / PIDN!!! Extra pocket money for me pls!!! xD Added on June 19, 2009, 4:54 pm Oh ya... Do you all fill in the real info for the parents' salary? Fyi, I've cheated once when I entered matric.. I put 1k for my dad's salary and nil for my mom's. I wish to enquire about some questions regarding the JPA scholarship (PIDN). Let's say I am a diploma student, and IF I got this scholarship. After I completed my diploma studies, do I need to serve the government straight away? Can I further my studies to degree level after my diploma is completed, then only I fulfill my service to the government? Please enlighten me. Thx in advance |

JPA include IPTS such as UNITEN,UTP amd MMU as their part of sponsorships.
As far as i know,there is nothing u can tell about the current scholarships allocations,just becos of the result hasnt been released yet,so we just hv to cross our fingers and hope for the best. btw,anyone know when the result is out,seriously, i have to settle my own university fees. if i CAN;T get the tajaan 9As,then i should quickly apply for kelompok 2 PTPTN. sigh! |

I think the result will be released not too late..Don't worry too much.
@yj718: Only those few IPTS which are being listed only can apply..Others cant..I am the one who is in other IPTS.. And charmhy18 is right about it..I have friends participated in the 9A program.They just need to relogin and show their offer letter to JPA with results attached to show that they fulfill the requirements that made up by JPA then ok.And they don't have to worry about their fees as long as they maintain their results.. |

yup...u can still apply for other scholasrhips as this can help u to increase the chances of getting scholarships but in the end, u r only allowed to be bonded to ONE scholarship only........so,all the best to u.....

@OMG!:Yes.pretty sure.You just need to send in those documents which can prove your status.i.e. results,offer letter..but I think not immediately.

Is it true that the result for PIDN would be known around august?
from what i know, those who are from dentistry,medic and pharm, they will be offered JPA automatically. and they send their documents and everything this week to JPA. |

i emailed JPA and the staff said the result will be out after 10th of August??? i am not sure how true is this...hopefully by monday the result will be out!

do u guys know there is two different jpa scholarships for the local one?
one is tajaan tambahan JPA for those who get 9As, while the other one is what u guys have been waiting unpatiently, jpa PIDN.. as for ur info, those who have already get the tajaan 9As result, most of them haven't get their offer letter yet..what else are u guys expecting their efficiency to be level up to what levels? Just saw the news. Finally, they are releasing the results. One thing I wanna ask. When will we get the money? I have already applied for PTPTN and submitted my documents. The money from PTPTN will probably arrive in two weeks time. If I get JPA, should I wait for PTPTN money first and then cancel PTPTN after receive the money for my first semester? hey guys, i get the JPA scholarships for tajaan 9As one, which is totally the same as the jpa pidn one as what i guess.
btw, regarding the saksi, which is the best person to refer to? can i refer to my lecturer as my saksi? just as simple as that, right? anyway, i would like to know the pros and cons of receiving the jpa scholarships and when is the jpa will deposit the allowances for us? i am in total desperate as my university bursary keep on remind us to clear up our 'debts', amounting to rm 2500 ..when does jpa really give us the money? as i know, the due date is 30 september for us to submit the perjanjian right? are we suppose to post there to jpa? or just give all the doc to our uni hep? |

I am taking the offer since both my living costs and tuition fees are high in mmu, cyberjaya here. Only the money from JPA can save me. PTPTN is insufficient for me as they only give me RM 49500 (full loan). My course is around RM 40000.!! on the other hand, The last date to send the perjanjian documents is before 30 sept 2009. btw, is it worth accepting the offer? and the bond stated in my offer letter is 4 to 5 years for science degree.  |

But, to 'mematikan setem hasil', u can refer to the PTPTN guide. They have shown how to do that. Yup, you'll have to "remitkan" setem hasil at any LHDN. Just bring along the RM10 setem hasil each, obtained from the Post Office, and tell the pegawai or whoever to "remitkan/matikan" setem and they will do it in front of you. They will stamp the setem on the agreement and will ask you to fill up a form or some sort. I think the date of the agreement has to follow the date of stamping or something like that, I forgot. I forgot if they will charge you for the stamping or not, I think not.You can go here to see the LHDN branches you can go to: LINK And no, you DO NOT draw a line across the stamp as the procedure. |

cos in my perjanjian booklet, JPA did not stated the years of bond and the amount tuntutan or ganti rugi, usually they will cop it right at the perjanjian booklet right?can i go for the LHDN if they jpa din cop? and the last columm is for jpa and the jpa saksi to sign right? but they din sign and cop so, so does it mean i have to settle my name and signature of my penjamin name only and go to settle the setem hasil, later then only i send it to jpa and they will just sign and cop it? what i really want to know is, does the procedure for remit the setem hasil must done in an official way or does it just simply a filling of form and cop then done? |

Just a few questions. I applied for PIDN, i didn't send anything to the HQ (am i suppose to?) after that, but check online result and i got it.. But after that they didn't mention anything... Are we suppose to mail something to them? or just wait for the offer letter to reach our hal ehwal pelajar..? or are we suppose to bring any attachment thing... i am back in KL my hometown already btw.. IIANM, you're supposed to fill up all the forms given to you right? what are the forms you have? I think the medical report form is the one you're supposed to pass to the DR for him to fill up most of it, if you have that. Besides that, I think you're supposed to fill up all of it. I am not sure if you have forms which I don't have though. There should be a booklet to guide you on what are the forms you'll have to fill up, and how to fill them up isn't it? I just follow everything written in the guideline. It's pretty simple actually... yea, the bonding and the ganti rugi should be stated when they give you the perjanjian. I think the safe thing to do is to go to the JPA office and ask them to clarify it in the perjanjian first before you go to LHDN. same for the last column.. there should be 3 parts right? penjamin, kerajaan and saksi... if the kerajaan section is not stamped by the kerajaan, it's better you return back to the JPA office and ask them further.. as for the saksi and penjamin part.. fill those details only when you're in front of the saksi (pesuruhanjaya sumpah etc) and they'll stamp or sign etc there and then.. what do you mean official way? to remitkan the setem hasil, simply bring your completed agreement to LHDN, there you tell the person in charge you want to "remitkan/matikan" setem hasil. They'll just stamp it on the setem hasil at the front page of the agreement. They'll also ask you to fill up a form, and that's it. |

I am taking biochemistry. Yes, it is RM 5300 per semester. if not mistaken , it is all the same for other courses, except medicines, dentistry and pharamacy, it may varies according to the fees of your course.but after the deduction from the tuition and hostel fees, the remaining is just sufficient to support your meals, and other miscellenous fees. I will try to make full use of it. haha.=)

My yuran pengajian is RM 1500++ per year, and i have paid it using my own money before the JPA bank in the allowances into my account, so i guess JPA pay the full amount of the allowances without any deduction to us , and the bendahari of our uni deducted it form our account from which JPA bank in the allowances into it. Right? but 1 doubt here is why only RM 5300 given since the amount stated is RM 7000 or RM 8000? ? |

for those who got the the JPA schloarship, they will give surat tawaran, panduan mengisi dokumen perjanjian, syarat2 tawaran and dokumen perjanjian.
however, inside Panduan Mengisi Dokumen Perjanjian, page 1/5, at the DOKUMEN SOKONGAN part, got FIVE supportive document. those document can be found in SYARAT-SYARAT TAWARAN book. but, i din have -borang pengakuan dan pemeriksaan kesihatan -borang biodata pelajar these TWO document. I asked my U HEP and they said later they will ask JPA here, i wanna ask, is any of you face the same situation as i am? How u solve?Just wait for ur respective U HEP to ask JPA? yes, i can call JPA, but today quite busy, so i post out in this thread 1st to know whether got other student face the same situation only, tmr i'll call JPA for confirmation thx in advance |

Anyway, these are the three important things that you guys should have received and completed it and sent it to JPA before the stated date. As most of my friends also facing the same situations as you guys, i guess majority of them would have to wait until all the documents arrive in hand. Most people would grumble as they need to stay back throughout the whole study week in order to settle these stuffs. I understand it,but what can be done? stay patient. =) |

Things may have changed , but i am quite reassured that JPA will send a letter to every University student affair department so as to inform tham what they have to do and that the students need to send whatever doc to them and so on. For UM, students need to hand it the document to HEP before next thursday, They don't have to send every documents as what i did before (For the 9As penajaan) , HEP will help them to send to JPA.

I've handed in the form saying that i'm accepting the jpa offer..
but just heard some cases from senior that jpa may assign jobs that's not related to what we study now...for example a clerk or general officer. But at the same time another senior said that it's a great chance that we wont be provided any job...Well, dilemma...handed in the form means no more turning down right? |

When I received my offer letter, the date on the offer letter was 28 August 2009!. They only gave started giving the letter after two months. OMG!

I sent an email to JPA asking about my account number the day before yesterday. Then, I received the account number yesterday. Today, I went to the nearest Bank Islam Branch which is in Putrajaya to collect my ATM Card. I received RM 3116. Btw, I am from MMU Cyberjaya.

i called them just now and one woman told me that no worry for those who are successful in the appeal as the whole thing is in process now so we will receive the borang b and borang menolak and terima later so what we have to do now is just wait and send it asap after we receive it.
for those who have got it in the first try, is it the same? |

I can confirm that all the money that we received is for the particular semester. We will receive the money each semester. For those having 2 semesters in a year,, you will get the amount divide by 2. For those with 3 sems like me, we will receive the amount divide 3. I called JPA to confirm about this.

anyone sure that the amount we get is divide 2 or 3 based on how many semester we have in one year?
for example like mine: the rate is kadar B which is Elaun sara hidup----------RM7140 Elaun buku----------------RM600 Elaun alat perkakas------RM300 Elaun Tesis----------------RM300 Elaun kertas projek------RM150 Elaun latihan amali-------RM10/day(duno how JPA count, as count per days per lecture day or days in one year) Yuran pengajian----------RM1240 total------------------------RM9730 EXCLUDING elaun latihan amali if RM9730 divide by 2 (i have 2 semester in one year) the amount would be RM4865. but i only receive RM4665. is this correct?or do i any miscalculations? pls do correct me. in january JPA will bank in the money again?sure? cause i needed the money to buy new laptop and pay back RM3500 to ptptn excluding administrative charges. |

i think elaun thesis is given not every year.. it is given when we have do thesis (final year project). thats mean, it will give one time only.... i also not sure for this..

Kadar A is definetely higher than kadar B by hundreds or so.
i believe most scholars have received their allowances banked in by JPA in your own Bank ISlam account respectively. however, for the first semester, you will receive more than half of the Kadar A/B , then by the next semester, u will receive another RM2000 ++ , amounting to the stated kadar , like say Kadar A should be RM8000 ++...this is what i think. anyway, do correct me if i am wrong,=) |

actually i think we are the one open the new account...
go to nearest bank ISLAM branch... just fill in form(tell them it is for JPA when request the form)+submit with a copies of ic(photostat)...... open account with RM20... then tell the ppl it is for JPA(mine one different service counter).... then they will link it to JPA acc.... then i got my money..... [four thousand and thirty eight Ringgit Malaysia only]bank writing style u cant refuse to use atm card....they said no acc book service now-days then u have to use the card and pay rm8 per year for service.... i have 3 ATM card now...and every year i have to pay RM24 service charge btw BANK ISLAM service really S*CK....n slow..... n ask me to go outside to get a copy of my IC..... meanwhile bank MUAMALAT have photostat machines and kind to help customers photostat....just bring IC and settle  This post has been edited by mecha_ming: Dec 15 2009, 08:55 PM |

She photostated my I/C and even checked for my account number in the database. I got my ATM Card in 15 minutes. The only thing I did was to fill in the form and give my I/C and wait. Very nice service. BTW, I went to the Putrajaya Branch which is located at the Kompleks Kerajaan. Ultra efficient. go to nearest bank ISLAM branch... just fill in form(tell them it is for JPA when request the form)+submit with a copies of ic(photostat)...... open account with RM20... then tell the ppl it is for JPA(mine one different service counter).... then they will link it to JPA acc.... then i got my money..... [four thousand and thirty eight Ringgit Malaysia only]bank writing style u cant refuse to use atm card....they said no acc book service now-days then u have to use the card and pay rm8 per year for service.... i have 3 ATM card now...and every year i have to pay RM24 service charge btw BANK ISLAM service really S*CK....n slow..... n ask me to go outside to get a copy of my IC..... meanwhile bank MUAMALAT have photostat machines and kind to help customers photostat....just bring IC and settle |

for those who got the appeal,
guys, it just so happened that i went to my Students' Affairs Department (HEP in other universities) today to enquire the staff in charge about what rayuan PIDN scholars should do now. She (the officer in charge) told me that JPA had sent our agreements to the department yesterday ( which was tuesday 22nd) and gave me mine. We are to complete the agreements and hand it in to the department within two weeks time. So, maybe you guys should check with your HEPs this week. Btw, i'm from a public uni which is IIUM. just curios since i only got the scholarship during appeal and i paid my first sem tuition with my own money and since starting now jpa will pay the tuition fee to my uni directly, so is there gonna be an extra one sem tuition fee with my uni bcos they are supposed to be paying it during my first sem as well?

i got info..just got back from my uni HEP (UiTM)..they said no need to post to jpa just give all the form to HEP..my campus extended to 17/10 but still need to print before 7th because the system will be close on 7th..
you guys try to contact your HEP.. |

haha i think they just updated it but they didn't close the domain to prevent people going in so now the website is DOWN again hahaha.
I guess thousands of people spammed in and crashed their pathetic bandwidth limit. |

ehh im very confused now.
about the lampiran B right, the akuan penerimaan, it is stated in the surat tawaran (5th statement) that it has to be sent to JPA before 31st oct or else they will take it as you rejected the scholarship. so do we have to send this separately to JPA or what? i asked my HEP officer, he said no need to do so, just send all the documents to the HEP then they will send it to JPA. But what if they don't send it before 31st oct? Anyone can clarify this? |

seriously? haha.. cause the surat tawaran said so.. if do not reach them by 31st then it's rejected.. :S
btw i logged in to epenawaran and it says "semakan saudara masih belum dibuka" .. which means there's chance that they will change the document.. this is ridiculous. :S |

wat are u quoting? o.O hey btw, i wonder does ur uni require u to hand in the lampiran B earlier? cause 1 of my friend in UUM, she has to hand in the lampiran B to her HEP first.. then later the full package of the documents. So i thought it's the initiative her uni took to spare more time for them to send in the lampiran B to JPA before the deadline. |

haha yeah sometimes we doubt them too. Well, i just passed all my stuffs to them and the office lady said she'll handle it.
Pos laju/ekspres will only take a day to reach putrajaya. And normal post will take a week most. If ur extremely concerned, then check out the HEP officer everyday and say hi haha. |

just go thru the forum in esila. as i understood, we need to lapor diri to JPA (or JPA and SPA?) as soon as we finish our pengajian or after convocation? example, i finish my pengajian on 31st january 2012, but my convocation in during october in 2012.
in the forum, the moderator or pegawai JPA said we need to lapor diri and memohon jawatan. can we just lapor diri but don not memohon jawatan? |

cause back in last sem, i was told by my Uni HEP staff to use the exact same form to claim thesis money. |
