if engineering, nobody will ask you to serve govt la..
sometimes really wonder what JPA thinking, medic students get bond 10 yrs and others just let go...

what a waste of taxpayers' money.

haha.. mistake.. u have to serve.. JPA is getting serious.. my bro under engineering too.. got a letter from JPA.. asking to lapor diri after he finishes his studies.. crap.. its a must... government will choose a job for u even u couldnt find one.. particularly.. they dont care.. as long as they need the work force.. huhu.. be prepared...

i thought this PIDN is only for those who will be going for their 1st degree at IPTA? Did they stated Diploma students are eligible to apply so? i wonder..

Between PTPTN and JPA PIDn, of course, i will choose PIDN JPA lor.since it is a scholarships, and i wish to work under gov since now it is quite diff to find jobs outside esp the private company.

By the way, there is another tajaan tambahan for SPM 9As students? so what is the difference of that with PIDN??
*
erm.. other qualifications are eligible too.. diploma, foundation, SPM level too but SPM is just for UiTM only. Degree, Masters.. everything u wanna study as long as its in a local U.. u can apply..

hmm.. i think u'd pull back the words when u start working.. unless.. ur a bumi.. where chances are better under gov.. actually.. it isnt any hard to find a job.. it all depend on yourself.. u still have to look for a job after u obtain ur cert.. not just wait till a job lands on u rite..

erm.. i reckon thats not for application.. its for SPM 2007 where that year they have such scholarship.. its jus like a normal scholarship.. sponsors ur books etc.. form 6'er can apply for that.. but i think its not available for SPM 2008.. note below that theres ''pengemaskini maklumat"

I find it is rather hard to find a bio-related works under private company. maybe i am wrong with that, but seriously i think there is less oppurtunity to work as a bio researcher at private company.

While for gov, usually they will give top priority to the students that they had sponsored beforehand. Thus, it is always better if u can get a scholarships under gov..

PS: do we need to send our result to JPA?i heard that this scholarships is based on 2 criteria: academic result and family background rite? How much allwance they give us?..i am SPM 2007 leaver.. icon_rolleyes.gif

hmmm.. yeah.. u're right.. bio related jobs are not that "available" in malaysia.. and most of the research fields are under government.. top priority?? kinda doubt that.. because.. all u get is the grad cert.. u will have to look for a job urself.. until u couldnt find one.. JPA will look for you. thats the case.. if u're unlucky.. u might end up in a low qualifications job.. not par with the cert u obtain..

erm... i think that scholarship is not opened.. its jus for "pengemaskinian maklumat" by the scholarship holders.. meaning those who got it last year.. have to log in and check if the details are correct.. i think that should be it..

oh. so where are u at now? form 6 or college eh?

I am from matric previously, waiting to enter IPTA..haha..USm is out of list and then maybe UM or UKM la. rolleyes.gif

u?

I worry if i can't find jobs with biochem degree(if i get biochem la), i will end up being a lecturer , teaching that subject..haha

Btw, the JPA tajaan is for SPm 2007 students rite? i am one of them, accepting this scholarships beforehand..But then what it differs from the PIDN one???
*
oh. u shud stand a high chance to enter other good research uni.. gud luck.

im an SPM 2008 grad waiting to enroll in nottingham now.. haha.. well being a lecturer isnt that bad afterall rite.. salary wise.. its quite good.. but the jobs boring i guess..

yeah.. i wasnt a receipient so im not sure bout it.. why dont you log in urself?

well.. PIDN is for those who are already gotten a place in UPU application.. in Local Uni.. the same case u're in. u shud check ur application.. in the PIDN form... u have to list where ur studying and what qualification are u studying for and what qualification u have.. eg for u.. u'll have matrics qulification going for degree.. well.. its stated there.. for the uni.. it will be those in malaysia.. all locals.. except for some like UTP, Uniten, UUM where they are semi private.

hmm.. its basically the same.. u get the scholarship.. monthly expenses.. and u have to serve bonds.. tats all

Oh ya... Do you all fill in the real info for the parents' salary?

Fyi, I've cheated once when I entered matric..
I put 1k for my dad's salary and nil for my mom's.
However, my mom is a government servant(teacher), is this a merit or demerit?
*
haha... extra pocket money will lead to lesser salary in later life.. think carefully.. if u can sponsor yourself.. better not get bonded..

To those who is experienced,

I wish to enquire about some questions regarding the JPA scholarship (PIDN). Let's say I am a diploma student, and IF I got this scholarship. After I completed my diploma studies, do I need to serve the government straight away? Can I further my studies to degree level after my diploma is completed, then only I fulfill my service to the government? Please enlighten me.

Thx in advance

hmm.. im not a holder of tis scholarship.. but my brother is a holder of PILN and hes only sponsored till diploma but he extended his application till degree soon after the graduated.

so i think its possible to do so.
