25m for Ade doesn't seem to be a bad deal, considering that he's form last season isn't really that good compared to previous season.

QUOTE(kimhoong @ Jun 24 2009, 03:06 PM)
As I pointed before, adding steel or energy into the midfield is welcome but it will cause the midfield overcrowded. Therefore, if AW is really bringing someone to partner Fabregas, he has to think of what to do with Denilson, Song, Diaby (and Ramsey).

RvP's contract is tricky. He has a lot to think now... mostly because Arsenal's direction towards the new season. Will we be able to challenge the title with:
1) MU being strong and rich (after CR7/9 sale)
2) Liverpool's continuous improvement (they just got the highest-paid defender of all-time)
3) Chelsea's & ManC's deep pockets

Instead of concentrating on Gallas, I'd like to suggest both Gallas and Toure to stay. They both are very much needed despite being reported of having conflicts between them. Losing either one is a big loss to Arsenal.
AW has declared that Toure won't be playing as DM due to stamina issue. I do think he can bring the energy to the midfield - if stamina is the issue, maybe he can come in as substitute or something - but that will be a waste to me sad.gif

Vermaelan's number has not be set yet.

Agree with you bro, losing either Gallas and Toure is a big loss I would say. Yeah, the club is not anywhere near to compete to other clubs, but I am proud of it. Everytime they performed badly, I felt heartache but when I looked at the stadium, I felt proud.

You bought your own jersey with your money, but who gave us the stadium? Without Wenger, we are still watching matches in Highbury. Building Emirates is like we won a stadium back, much more better than winning any cup in this world

yea, I love highbury too. Lots of memory but life goes on. For the sake of the club, we have to moved. At least we have a modern and large capacity of stadium to create legend

Bollocks i would say. The media always like to part us from our star players. Frankly speaking i dont see Cesc leaving us at least not for the coming few years. He will however go back to spain for sure i think, maybe at the age when Henry left us, but just not now. Anyway, i would be worried if he's still happy and satisfied when we have ended 4-5 seasons with empty hands.

And if he does leave us now (which i highly doubt so), so be it. After years of supporting Arsenal FC, i realise than no player is indispensable. Not even our King (with all due respects). AW will bring in even better players to replace those that have left us. I guess my loyalty is always more on AW than the club tongue.gif

Which is why he has responded :

Fabregas responds to media speculation
QUOTE
Further to media reports on Thursday morning, Cesc Fabregas has spoken to Arsenal.com:

"I’m not sure how many times I need to talk directly about my commitment to Arsenal as I continue to say the same thing over and over again, but it appears that every time I have spoken to the Spanish media recently, my words have bounced back to England, leaving question marks about my future.

"So, for anyone who is unclear or may have misunderstood what my position is, let me make myself absolutely crystal clear. I am wholeheartedly committed to Arsenal and my future lies with this great Club.

"It is a fact that we have not won a trophy for four years and yes, I am angry about that, but that anger stems from the deep deep desire I have to win things with Arsenal. I care about this Club and believe in this team. I
am proud to captain this team and proud to wear the shirt. It really upsets me when people express my thoughts otherwise. The spirit in this squad is fantastic and we have the ability and mentality to compete on all fronts for silverware. Make no mistake, we are focussed and determined to show that we are capable of achieving great things together."

Of course it doesnt sound like him. Those fkng media has taken things out of context again. read arseblog to know how they manipulate the interview and take only the 'leaving' part but leave out the 'i want to stay and win trophy' part.. gah
