I've thought about it few years back when I was still in a relationship. I think it's possible. Check with those wedding studios that do oversea wedding photo shooting trips.

Or if you have any photographer friends, try to make a deal with them. You will most likely be paying for their flight ticket, accommodation and everything else. Or discuss with any professional photographer that you have in mind? Otherwise, engage a wedding studio in NZ and see if they cater for international customers.

i do contact few studio, they do not provide grown rental. just photo shooting only.
Min also cost NZD1500.
The problem is need to buy own wedding dress and bring there.....

What i can do at abel tasman?
I should take tour or self ?
*
kayaking... and sun...

abel tasman is a national park and one of nz great walks along the coast. u can take water taxi into one of the track point and tramp out or the other way round.

just bear in mind august is winter month and daylight hour is short, dun recommend for a long drive. and you may need to have a contingency plan in case it snow hard during your travel period. often there's road closure on the way to milford and arthurs pass.

Get your own wedding gown then! These days china has some pretty cheap tailor made ones I think. If budget is an issue, don't go for branded ones lor. Can check online see anyone selling cheap wedding gown from china or not.

Personally, i think you need not a prof photographer, with the scenery in NZ,
any friend with few years experience can take the photo. Even i take it with my
ipad, and do some modification /added effect with photoshop, it will come out nicely.

With those package, i dun think you can cover all those scenery area in Queentown.
eg, have a photo shoot in LOTR site , Glenorchy site will take you at least 5-6 hour,
bear in mind that it take one hour to and back from the site with car. A photo shoot
of around Lake Wakatipu will take you another day.

For the wedding dress, you can rent it here in Malaysia,
but do they allow you to use it for more than a week?
The wedding dress can be buy it here, i hear that price is reasonable
with those china make one.

Hi guys, I am planning to go Nz this coming August for a stay of nearly a month and a half with my currently studying gf in Auckland Uni. At the same time, I would like to explore North island and preferable by car. Is there any recommendations on hiring a cheap rental car?

And I would like to ask is there a need to apply for a visitor visa to NZ if I were to stay more than a month?

NZ is visa upon arrival, can stay maximum 3 months. Immigration might ask where you plan to go, how much money you have, etc. if you plan to stay so long though. Make sure you have all your documents prepared.

Car rental, shouldn't be a problem in Auckland. Ask your gf studying there to look/ask around. Will be easier for her to get info for cheaper car rentals.

You can get a translation letter from JPJ, or renew your license.

Can be used. But best to get a translation. Even no translation also can but you'll be taking a risk there.

More logic way, will be download from some website.
or borrow a copy of new licence come with dua lauguage,
photocopy it and attached with your driving licence.

For my experiences, i dun think you will penalise by NZ polis.
The most is stop by them for explanation only. As long
as you can explaint the content to them, they will accept it.
Dun worry, the polisman/men is very gentleman in NZ, and not like
polis here try to cari makan, and demand kopi-O money as their ultimate
goal.

Still, please be reminded that driving in New Zealand isn't driving in Malaysia. Follow strictly by the rules - Whatever speed limit is used for that particular stretch of road, no tailgating and stuff like that.

My friend was asked pay the summons for tailgating when we 1st reached lol. "Driving too near to the front car and causing stress for other drivers." - somewhere along those lines. tongue.gif

Also, actually there are certified translators in Auckland. Quite a number of companies to be exact. Still, the fees are much higher compared to what you can do in Malaysia so it is still recommended that you do it in Malaysia before actually going to NZ.

Although you don't really need to translate it, but for the sake of avoiding the hassle if anything happens, it is still recommended to do it. smile.gif

Causing stress for other drivers laugh.gif

I was searching up and down for translators in Auckland (not exactly in the city, more like the smaller towns out of Auckland) and fail, couldn't find it. Had to translate my Malaysia driving license so that I can convert it into NZ driving license. doh.gif Lucky I manage to dig up my expired international driving license.

So yea, just do the translation here in Malaysia, so much cheaper and save the hassle.

It's just 10 ringgit to get a letter signed by JPJ officer, better safe than sorry.
