QUOTE(pengiranijam @ Jun 20 2009, 11:10 AM) Yes looks big different now, my ping to Philippine and Singapore down to 80pings and most international now reach 1.28Mb/sec now. TMNet now have IANA IP Address, that would be bad news, they now link us directly to US military. TMNet DNS were even better now, I got 8pings to their DNS, this is absolute good news. I think majority of us getting same like mine. What about you and you guys...? Means no more pirated downloading? Or not they'll tangkap you?Mind to explain more? Is TM trying to spy us? If yes, that is completely wrong. There is no more privacy on the internet if like this... |

TMNet DNS were even better now, I got 8pings to their DNS, this is absolute good news. I think majority of us getting same like mine. What about you and you guys...? Can u give us more info about what that will do? The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) is the entity that oversees global IP address allocation, root zone management for the Domain Name System (DNS), media types, and other Internet Protocol related assignments. It is operated by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, better known as ICANN. Prior to the establishment of ICANN for this purpose, IANA was administered primarily by Jon Postel at the Information Sciences Institute at the University of Southern California, under a contract USC/ISI had with the United States Department of Defense, until ICANN was created to assume the responsibility under a United States Department of Commerce contract. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Assi...mbers_Authority ICANN is a non-profit corporation that was created on September 18, 1998 in order to oversee a number of Internet-related tasks previously performed directly on behalf of the U.S. government by other organizations, notably the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). ICANN's tasks include responsibility for Internet Protocol (IP) address space allocation, protocol identifier assignment, generic (gTLD) and country code (ccTLD) top-level domain name system management, and root server system management functions. More generically, ICANN is responsible for managing the assignment of domain names and IP addresses. To date, much of its work has concerned the introduction of new generic top-level domains (TLDs). The technical work of ICANN is referred to as the IANA function. ICANN's other primary function involves helping preserve the operational stability of the Internet; to promote competition; to achieve broad representation of global Internet community; and to develop policies appropriate to its mission through bottom-up, consensus-based processes. On September 29, 2006, ICANN signed a new agreement with the United States Department of Commerce (DOC) that is a step forward toward the full management of the Internet's system of centrally coordinated identifiers through the multi-stakeholder model of consultation that ICANN represents.[1] Since ICANN is managing resource worldwide, but being controlled by U.S. interests, a number of proposals have been brought forward to decouple the IANA function from ICANN. However, it is widely believed[who?] that it would be impractical to change the current control structure without risking fracturing the Internet. Melaka area here
I usually ping yahoo to test my connection (more of a test to see whether i have any connection or not) and the usual ping time is usually below 300ms. At the moment, its above 700ms And oh, can't download anything from rapidshare, unlike yesterday Seems like TMNET bullsh** about this upgrade thing, because using words like upgrade and better service for customer would mean improvement in the customers internet service... |

Ping to yahoo.com = average of 704ms with packet loss.
Negeri Sembilan area here.. With my vpn there is no packet loss and the pings is only 200++ ms. So i don't think this has anything to do with earthquakes. |
