4 months ago, i ported out immediately to Digi after being frustrated with Maxis' incompetency in handling my request to change plan.

so far, 1 thing that i hate from DiGi is the stupidly slow bill generation.

My bill cycle is 12th, but til today i couldn't see my online itemised bill. There's a short summary of the amount to pay though, but i still want to see the itemised bill before making any payment.

it took 8 days to view the online statement...
however, i am not sure as well, i check mine yesterday, it seems to be ok....

previously i set every month max usage of rm150,
but now automatic disabled, this month usage rm300 =="

Although, we don't really know how convenient the process of choosing number will be since Digi will randomly pool a list of available numbers based on the 3-4 digits that you've entered and there's a cap of 5 daily attempts. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I wonder if dealers will start protesting by boycotting the future new simpacks since they've lost some profit opportunity since Digi is one of the major players. If Hotlink does the same thing, dealers will be fuming with anger.

Oh damn. That could be a loophole too but I think Digi will have a way to plug it. Also, if I'm not mistaken, there're a maximum number of numbers that can be registered under one single person. Dealers could probably still profit but it would be limited and is a hassle / time-consuming process (registering, selecting numbers and all).
This I am not certain but I think the new sim packs might have unique serial numbers attached to them which will be registered under you. Once you have chosen your phone number at home, the phone number will be assigned to the serial number? That's just my guess.

True that they can still earn from the current sim packs with nice numbers but I think the new system might slow their sales since users can now choose their own numbers. By the way, I think even consumers themselves might start buying a few packs, quickly choose the nice numbers and then sell them for a little profit.
Consumers will benefit from this system more than dealers if it works well. Now I'm waiting for dealer to come in here and I'd like to see their comments on this.

I somehow suspect that Digi themselves want to keep the ABBA ABBB AABB numbers and release them as special VVIP sim packs, like how JPJ earn some profit by auctioning off vehicle license plates. Just my assumption.

last year i also bought MNS to choose my prefer number,
but only can get it at selected dealers,
and they will register via ur sim card(they use sim card reader to do it) for ur personal information..

And Digi must be angry because didn't get any commission / profit from that.

Moreover, with the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) system where users can hop to different telcos anytime, Digi's earnings aren't so stable anymore compared to last time. If they (Digi) really plan to sell those VVIP unique combination (016 - ABB ABBA or etc, suggested in mikecmy's post) numbers on their own, only leaving not-so-nice numbers available for this new MNS system, they would be earning more. So it doesn't matter if their users switch to another telco once the users purchased the VVIP numbers from Digi since profit has already been gained.

You mean the system is already effective starting from last year? My goodness, I opened up this thread because I thought it's a new system that will be implemented at the end of this year. Seems that I've mistaken, am outdated and is a slowpoke. If this is true, I will have to edit the first post.
