Yes it is recorded in the bill total usage; I am on iData 2 though but am sure it's the same for the rest; unless you're on an unlimited plan.

Hm.. Im not sure about this. But I had tried fakeApn before, it seems just blocked my internet (data) access but i'm still able to received and send MMS. AFAIK, i thought MMS were independent from data traffics? Otherwise, if MMS were part of boardband data why maxis will still charged for MMS?

In that case, you probably won't have data usage stated on ur bill.

@`arthas,
iData 3 is limited to 3GB. Maxis no longer offers their new users the unlimited plan.

Sad.. they did not inform u that the ivalue takes effect only after 3 day on the day u took ur phone??
But supposedly, the ivalue should have start take effect right after u got the phone if im not mistaken..

just get my first bill ...

iphone data counter is 90M for download and upload ... maxis bill me 129M ...

not sure if those are wifi usage ...

I've 500MB p/month and thus far I haven't had problems with over usage.

@Cyan7,
The iValue plans should take effect about 2hrs after you get your phone; it'll take a while for Maxis to get it activated.

@Ken,
Wifi usage is not calculated in the Usage counter.

Settings > General >Usage > Cellular Network Data, does not take into account data usage via WiFi.

what Maxis billed you for is data usage via 3G/EDGE, where you're not on WiFi.

b4 digi subscriber,just because of iphone i have to convert maxis.The whole data usage issue is a big heartache. Thought of going back to Digi.Do not mind the penalty of 100+ plus the 300+subsidy paid to maxis. Guys,iphone 3gs on Digi works?

Maxis doesn't charge you if you're on Wifi cause you're not connecting to their data service.

Yes the i3GS works with all our MY telcos [save for Internet Tethering]

Even previous rm 99 unlimited data plan is limit to 5gb because I'm using it previously for two years till I gave up for iPhone iData value 3.
