yup.. most probably u should not exceed the limit.. but if ur a heavy user where u dont want to limit the possibilities of a smartphone.. subscribe data plan

Smart plan for DIGI is good.. only RM68 and you can surf till u want to puke
*
Smart plan RM68 also got quota limit which is 3GB, after quota will throttle to 128kbps

The only Digi unlimited data plan is monthly RM149, no quota limit biggrin.gif

how did my bill get upto RM700?!
*
Maxis data maximum should be capped at RM250, after you exceed certain usage, no matter how much more you use, you will still paying for RM250 / month

wah....browsing this thread make me scared to switch to Maxis plan + IP4....

so Maxis is indeed S**ks and operate just like "ah long"......

hope this telco will sink down soon if they dont take action to solve this matter...

i am celcom user and sad celcom didn't bring IP in their package....never have problem with celcom and because of IP4 i have to betray for a while and switch for DiGi

I just received sms from maxis

I hope i dont get overcharge by Maxis if i can control use up 200MB only for the next 10 days. Because it is clear in the sms and it is clear in my usage as well. There is no reason maxix want to cheat me right? Ok we shall see what happen

Anyway, Maxis 3G really fast, i wonder if any telcos can beat this speed

hi, how to monitor what application that eats the data? I just got my iphone yesterday and i had RM32 in my prepaid credit. Now it's already Rm4. I used wifi most of the time so i have no idea how the credit could decrease that much.

if i'm not wrong there was rm15 left but after syncing with the pc, it shows rm4.

p/s: still waiting for my 500mb per month.

dont!! stop ur cellular data usage. this is what happened to me. i thot he. i got another 200 megs to go. and then when the bill came it was nearly RM400!! : O

that sms means u have exceeded 800 megs of usage. same thing with the 1gb sms it will come AFTER you have exceeded the quota. save urself now and just use wifi. turn internet off on ur phone.

Digi is better in this respect, it actually tells you when your limit is up ...and my usage is already 2 GB as recorded in my iphone. Does it means Digi gives me more than the promised 1 GB??? rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Obviously DiGi system is much better than Maxis. Even my company has changed corporate plan from Maxis to DiGi due to "unlimited" data attraction. But, I personally still prefer Celcom. But too bad, Celcom does not offer iP4 package. Hopefully, during iP5 or iP6 we shall see a battle between Blue, Yellow and Green telcos.

U will still be able to surf after exceeding the limit cuz divi just throttles ur line. But maxis charges u for every 10kb of data usage after going over ur quota yawn.gif

The point is simply you can still surf the net while not worrying of Super High Bill that may faint you at the end of the month. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

What is the point of having high speed while have to use it sparingly (was was) blush.gif

If like me already exceeds 1G at the middle of the month, the bill could be = RM0.05/10 KB = RM 5.00/1000KB = RM 5000.00/1 GB... So high the bill .. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

Install one app roughly 10 MB = RM 50.00, if install 10 app, your bill will shoot up to RM 500.00. Just imagine the speed of maxis of 3.6 Mb/s...which tell you potentially 360 KB/s = RM 1.80/s.(Amended) Dangerous cool2.gif

Hey! Where did you get this speed?!
I never achieve this speed before! Maximum is 1.8MB. Usually 1.2-1.6MB.

There's always something for everybody la... no such thing as this telco better that telco better. It might be better for you but it won't be better for others. For instance your case you use a lot of data therefore you stick with DiGi. Good for you. But for me, I use a lot of internet as well, and speed is my concern. Therefore I stick with Maxis. 1GB is more than enough for me, because when I'm at work and home, there's full WiFi coverage. I only use the 3G data service when I'm outside at places where there's no WiFi coverage, and my monthly usage never exceed 200MB. That's why I say there's always something for everyone.

Sometimes u need to understand ur apps as well as they maybe running background. Then it will eat ur data. Mostly is mail, notification, apps that run background updates. I use many kind of apps over a year with my 3gs and i never exceed b4 though. Now i change to iphone4 and i see how it goes.
