just JB ur fon then u can use setting on ur network APN ..... other option, dont use iphone if u dont wanna waste money on data plan ..... im using iphone 2g JB on Digi Edge data plan btw .... n i use internet everyday everyhour ....... still my bill is at rm58/month ...... maxis only want to make profits wat wud they know about iphone? the girl at the counter also use cokia or sany..... hehehehhe

may i know how to turn off data on iPhone 2g and 3gs? even i installed BossPref and off the data, my iPhone 3gs still sips the data abit by abit... still it costs me money mah... any sifus out there? aikz

I've no wi-fi here in this new office so perhaps my 3G usage will shoot up this month; will report and let all know if 500MB is suffice then  |

So far i've used 4.9mb upload & 66.4mb download for everyday use.. Is dat normal? |

Check whether you have any software running which required to connect to web for update. Location service is one, make sure the 'PUSH' under the email account setting is off. Mine is fine, the reading is staying still for quite a while now and i'm only connecting to web thru. WIFI. |

kernkraft: u got sbsetting right? so u can change ur APN under network....change it to some silly name dont left it empty....if u set it empty it means default setting from ur network...i owez change my APN if i change other simcard n so far none of my credit deduct....n yes please off all push notification n location allow

yes ... usually i will reset the counter at 12am 10th every month ... then wake up the next morning, the counter already shown some data amount ... no idea which app is that ...

I'm not sure if it was posted before.
I realized that data transmitted thru EDGE will be recorded in the data counter, however, after you switch off and switch back on the iPhone (not standby mode), the counter somehow resets EDGE usage. For 3G, this does not happen. I have not tested GPRS yet. No wonder there was a difference between the iPhone counter and the bill statement. I am using firmware 3.0.1. |
