It has been confirmed that if your Wii is a Korean modded to US and you update 4.2, it's a case of saying bye to your Wii.

QUOTE(aranel @ Dec 30 2009, 09:08 AM) err, how bout you don't mod?since u already mod, is no help what i just said. but just saying don't update won't help either. coz it is somtimes not u who updated it. it could be your baby brother, dog, cat, or alter ego etc who did it. furthermore, u don't have to be online to initiate an update. even if u sumbat a game disc the update will initiate. i think there is a way to block updates through softmod so that u won't accidently update. afif please elaborate. i don't have hands on experience on modding. |

A way to block updates, yeah? There's no update-blocking softmod available yet, unless you're talking about the one that blocks updates from disc...
You can always erase Wi-Fi data and only include it when you want to use the channels/online game. I fourthed coduosp's statement.... if you don't know what you're doing. I also second/third Kyoyagami's statement!!! Aiseh, cuti sekolah dah nak habis... |

disc channel cannot stop updates on a softmodded wii...
the only way you can stop updates by using an ori disc is by using the loaders |

That's the softmod I'm talking about. You can also use some loaders to bypass the update.Just that, we can't block internet updates. |

i just noticed that my wii bought @taiwan, its AC adapter's INPUT is only 110V and OUPUT 16V, 3.7A, the console INPUT is 16V 45W
so i need to buy an AC adapter but not a socket changer @malaysia, may i ask how much does it costs for an original AC adapter? and will cause any damage if using the adapter with Taiwan's console? (16V 45W) thanks very much |
