i am currently not at home (that's how my job is like), but i am very sure it is dual voltage, meaning 110V also can, 220V also can. I am sure any adapter made for the wii will do. doesn't have to be original. hope that helps. sorry can't give u any details.

Here's a cool thing that I'd like to share with everyone. The new Wii's that I am selling (The official ones) are labeled as Asian now (ASI). heck, you even get Maxsoft and MM Softs address on them. I hope this is a step to the cheap pricing of games like how we saw with GTA Chinatown Wars (Hot title at RM 120).

wow, that's good to hear...so, the pricing of the console is still the same as the normal US version?

QUOTE(LostWanderer @ Jan 7 2010, 07:00 AM) wow, that's good to hear...so, the pricing of the console is still the same as the normal US version? if we take the figures roughly, lets say Rm 3.50 per USD, the console should be RM 700, added with Taxes, then yeah it gets a hike up to RM 950. Its a little steep, but its still ok and on par with US consoles. Should've taken a unit and tested it to see if it could be multiregional (We are asians after all).

so what's the difference between the asian version and the us version?
It could just be a labelling gimmick, therefore everything else is still equal a us console. i hope not, but if it is can i kindly clarify

Perhaps labelling gimmick, but I'm pushing for something like GTA Chinatown Wars for the DS. The high price in the states was actually very low here (USD 35 at launch to RM 120 at launch). The best part, the back of the cover states that it is sold for Asia only. Catch my drift lad?

i see...
maybe you should have tested an Asian unit just to check the differences between the US vs the Asian console..who know's...it may be multiregional...=p (if NTSC-U is unplayable...then it is crappy...XD)

if your pal is modded, then of course...
if it's not...then you will not be able to play it...try to change it with your gameshop?

most modded wii sold in malaysia are softmodded. especially the newer ones. softmod cost nothing, whereas hardmod need to buy the chip. so it makes more sense for the sellers with softmod
btw, modded sellers won't give u the latest mod chip. they already irresponsible in modding the wii, so u think they so responsible in giving u the latest chip?
