You can hold the END CALL button to bring up a menu to lock the phone

If you want to do it faster

Start -> Settings -> All Settings -> Personal -> Buttons -> End Key tab

lols... remember there is call-recording menu while u on call let u record it?? forget bout it. HTC said that function isnot supported by TD2. so, push out a hotfix and remove the menu..lols..

there is a hotfix on HTC website i think.

New user reporting in. So far so good, despite the phone 'hanging' the first time starting up at the shop...

the exact first time starting? how long did you wait? you sure it wasn't stuck in the initial setup screen? it takes a while the fist time cause it's installing the base apps if you did interuppt it, lets just say that won't be good.

Mine also same, first time boot up takes very long and it will reboot itself after all the apps are installed.

It means that the shop owner/sales person is inexperience as he will inform you if he knew.

hmm.. i put straight away from TF3D settings tab. it works well..

i scroll to settings tab. click home wallpaper. then select this picture (1280x1024). it show nicely.

got another website for us to order TD2 accessories at a reasonable price, www.netimes.com , just order my soft case and audio adapter there....

even my previous 5800 if on the GPS for 20 mins also hot.....

Some Uncle questions.

1. How to get to sync with my office's Exchange 2003 server? Tried using activesync but comes up with an error saying something like certificate is not valid.

Tried google, but I've no clue as to what they're saying about certificate installation.

2. Oh ya, is there something I can do to make the qwerty keyboard keys bigger? My fat thumb having a hard time pressing lah.

3. My desktop vista can't detect the phone when I plug in. How ah? I can do it just fine on my Win2000 laptop. I tried starting Mobile Device Center but it still won't detect.

for exchange to work well.. u nid a digital cert approved by ur exchange server.to get the cert. best way is to ask ur exchange admin. if not, u could try //servername/clientapps.
try in ur office. then u should see a cert folder insides. copy da cert into td2. then launch it. it shoild work like this. remember tat cert created is follow domain name. n only work when u use correct domain name when setup ir mail account.

for kb, i recommend touchpal o fingerkeyboard. it should b nice.

how activesync, how bout disable advanced network functional at settings tab -> network -> usb to pc

No need bulk lah bro, use "Registered Air Mail Service" is good enough and will reach you in a week time.

Crystal case will break woh, better get leather case or "Resin Soft Case For HTC Touch Diamond2 - Gray"-guarantee you will love it, has using on my KP500 and much better than crystal case a lot, crystal case will scratch your housing while Resin soft case will not. Resin is also better than silicone a lot, silicone is too soft, sticky and also misalign a lot......

similiar stuff in video, at least you have an idea of how good the case, get the gray colour will be good

Normally, I'll use BT to send file from my Notebook to my HTC Touch Diamond. Is this the correct & proper method of shld I use USB?

Now I got a problem. I did not know how my Diamond doesn't ring but just vibrate when there is an incoming call, thus resulting in missed calls of which I am not aware. Only when I removed the stylus then I realised the missed calls. How did this come about, how to prevent it from happening in future and more urgently,how to turn on the ringing tone again short of soft re-setting?

by using bt oso can. so ur photo would b at document.

u can check at settings -> personal -> sound n notification.
then click notification. it should b set to vibrate. change to ring n vibrate n see.

Tried that, doesn't work. Still no ringing sound. As a last desperate resort, did a soft re-set and voila...everything back to normal again

can the ringtone being set like my gf call different ringtones, my boss call different ringtones? and the ringtones must be saved in phone memory only can be set as ringtone?
is it any program can take the ringtone direct from memory card?
