New user reporting in. So far so good, despite the phone 'hanging' the first time starting up at the shop...

Not the exact startup. It was launching the browser. Waited close to 5 mins.

Some Uncle questions.

1. How to get to sync with my office's Exchange 2003 server? Tried using activesync but comes up with an error saying something like certificate is not valid.

Tried google, but I've no clue as to what they're saying about certificate installation.

2. Oh ya, is there something I can do to make the qwerty keyboard keys bigger? My fat thumb having a hard time pressing lah.

3. My desktop vista can't detect the phone when I plug in. How ah? I can do it just fine on my Win2000 laptop. I tried starting Mobile Device Center but it still won't detect.

I agree with the previous posters. Really need to consider a nice type of case/protector for this phone. I find the phone a little too slippery.

How do I install microsoft .net framework 3.5 on the phone? Itching to try out the lightsaber program. I've downloaded the MSI file but unsure of what to do next.

UPDATE: Oops. I missed out a paragraph when reading the instructions. Just need to connect to the Mobile Device center, and run the msi. Duh.

Do you guys do any maintenance for the phone? Ie. wipe it with something?

Also, you guys able to get the Pocket UFO game to run on your device? Mines just crash on startup and it'll dump me back to Today screen.

How to make Today screen show British style date instead of american?

It keep showing "Month Date, Year".

For the car charger, is it the RM10 made in china one?

I installed the sms notification hotfix yesterday and so far so good. Not sure if it will that your particular problem or not.

Btw, is there any guide to creating themes or TouchFlo3d themes for our device? Tried searching for it but no dice.


EDIT: The hotfix link I mentioned above is gone from official HTC site? I wonder what's up.

Played around with some tweaks. Sharing a screenshot of my Today screen. My 'start' button also drops down in the classic style, which I prefer to the TouchFlo3D's version. Gonna try my hand at making some wallpapers, icons and sliders next time round.

EDIT: Any way to change the date from Month/Day to Day/Month? Ie. 19 Jul instead of Jul 19.

Which WinMo 'overlay' do you guys prefer for your device? TouchFlo, SPB or Wisbar Advance Desktop?

I think you might have Push Internet enabled? Or are you using GPRS to check emails?

1. Try Malfreemaps. It's version 1.68. And it's free.
Basically, you need to install that into your PC and generate a gmapsupp to replace the older file.

2. When at the program, go to Tools > Settings > Audio

3. Never have this problem before.
