For 2nd layer tinting, not necessarily it will hold permanently especially in a hot & humid country here. Most accessories or tinting shop will recommend to tear the 1st layer especially if the 2nd layer is thicker (eg. security film).

huh? the one that comes with the SX model is not a layer, its already inside the glass material... all u gotta do is apply another layer (which is the 1st layer as well). The glass material is tempered and tinted glass
just like how others tint their car normally...

I booked my car at Taman Maluri this evening. Funny thing is that he is confident that the car can be delivered in 2 weeks if the loan is in order. Do you think the SA is not telling the truth as I can see from others who booked earlier saying they can't get the 2.0 Forte.

He said that out of 500 cars, 300 are 2.0, 100 for the 1.6ex and 1.6sx. Over 100 units had been sold in Langkawi as it was opened for booking a few months ago.

Tested 1.6SX in PJ area specially uphills, rough round, traffic jam and etc.
All condition look fine for me bcoz I use to drive korea car - heavy body!
I just simply press hard b4 uphill and it perform well within 2 person inside car. I can use shiftonic to change the gear manually and it really work to maintain gear 2 until rpm to 4-5K and power is remain until I increase gear 3 later 4.
Overall, 1.6SX engine performance is acceptable but reaqlly do not know the FC. The test unit show 14l/100km and I believe it may coz by short distance test drive.
But still need more finding bcoz no change to test 2.0 model b4 final decision make.

I decided to take the risk anyway. It is bad planning as I am keen to get the 2.0 but how can you buy a car without seeing it. The only way is to see whether you are happy with the 1.6sx engine. No chance to drive fast as Taman Maluri was quite jam. Only manage to bring up to 80km/h but at low speed the car feels much nicer than the Waja. Did you notice the tyre noise from the car? I wonder how much better if you changed to a better tyre.

So now I am still unsure whether need to buy the 2.0 because if the 1.6 is good enough no need to waste money.

well because of the rim and tyre, quality of tyre also a concern?
also can add soundproof on the particular area in future to make it better, more quiet

ya.... after reading over at ceratoforte.sg, i found out they claimed this stock 17" rim weighted at 11kg each.... this will seriously brng down the FC and pick up.... but with a better tyre and change the Rims to light weight rims, i believe a 1.6SX will just be great.... rclxms.gif

spicy red is only for SX. and yeah, 200 - 300 units for sale, but right now i think left less than 30 (nationwide). i'm still wondering whether i can get mine, even with the pre-launch booking cause it seems they want buyers to settle 10% down payment before they allocate a car to u. doh.gif

it's a bit bumpy at the back, and noisy. but considering the fact that tyre is 17", i think the suspension is quite good dy. quite happy with the car's performance. pick up good, power is there. thumbup.gif

So I take it you are downgrading to 1.6?

I don't know whether you agree with this but by buying the 1.6sx, you won't lose too much in depreciation and the 1.6 is good enough for a car of this size?

any chance can get this in malaysia with cheaper price ah? RM118.55 1 emblem feel quite expensive...

btw, i believe that got few 2.0 unit, just is limited, and giving to those SA who already have order on it, so some SA might not getting the 2.0 unit will claim that 2.0 are not come in this year, i suggest try to go other branch and ask, because i have ask few dealer, some say December can get 2.0, and some say next year.
