Agree,i bought a lot of 2nd or 3rd hand stuffs on my rig too.

kayaman buy 1st hand. i buy 2nd hand 3rd hand 4th hand etc... the thing is, fylon pretend 2 be innocent coz when he got lubang, he never wanna share with us one lehh, he loot it quietly... i no chance oledi..lol.

ok, don't OT liao... I managed 2 find a 2nd hand P4 for my colleague. he's looking for a PC that can watch some movies and do some office work. Specs is P4 2.4Ghz with 512MB RAM, ATI 9250 and 40GB HDD. Ran Ironman 720p (CoreAVC) smoothly. Bought an internal card reader for the PC but somehow the connection doesn't fit and the wires color scheme were off also. Finding a solution now.

Wah! That's exactly the same spec as my OldMan rig. Only diff is my HDD 80Gb.

2.4GHz with ATI9250 can play 720p smoothly?

mark my words. yes, you can! coreAVC, skip deblocking. the CPU usage average 80%, lol.

coreAVC does wonders man!
i installed on my friend's 3.0GHz, now can play HD videos smoothly. he's using 9250 too. but 1080p ones still cant. almost like a slideshow

Maybe my core AVC mix together with klite codec...The core AVC doesn't work well.

not at all. the combo is not the issue. most likely your klite's mpc is not configured using the coreavc.

I think the setting is under tweak tool in klite codec there...i see a lot of settings over there. Is core avc using Haali Media Splitter?

not under tweak tool!

1. open media player classic.
2. go to view->options.
3. click on external filters.
4. select add filters.
5. navigate to corecodec folder and select the CoreAVCDecoder.ax file.
6. check the "prefer" radio button.
7. close media player classic and try running any H.264 file and gauge yourself of the improvements.

Kayaman? I eat kaya la.

Couldnt tahan my old rig, graphic card overheating causing artifacts and recently had to edit some HD footage for assignment. So decided to upgrade. A much needed upgrade anyway.

Wah,another kayaman detected. Q9550 +GTS250 + Corsair XMS+ P45 mobo.CAn sit side by side with edmin already. Haha.

O/T: Should say, pengster pawned all in term of performance, just GC slightly 1level lower then edmin. And overall, i got tapau by them also.

Haha,then real kayaman is detected finally. Q9550 is consider quite high end quaddie already.
