yes...u can change the sim card without needing to turn it off....

hi all, i just received my iphone 3gs. i plan to upgrade to 3.1.2 then use the blackra1n to JB, can right? but what if in future when Apple release a new update, can i update my phone straight from Apple? thanks alot

Hey bro. U can safely update to 3.1.2 n make it rain.
In future, u wait for Jb tools to be available before u update.
Dun hv to jump on da chance of updating. Hang arnd n see da bigger picture.

I'm using iphone 3Gs maxis set and already JB OS 3.0 using redsnow. Can I use blackrain JB tyo 3.1.2 OS directly?

for my knowledge.... there will Never have accident on updating the new firmware cause u have to download 1st b4 restore, so just make sure u dun simply click on update fw, always check forum on jailbreak b4 u act anything silly..... never hassle on the firmware be patience....

The solution is :

1. Close ur iTunes and keep blackra1n running
2. Disconnect ur iPhone and connect it back
3. Press the power and home button at the same time, wait for iphone to boot up, continue to press both (power and home) buttons then u will see connect to iTunes (ignore it) after that u will see GeoHot's face on your iphone and you're back on track!

If you happen to shutdown/restart laptop or terminate ur blackra1n :

1. Make sure u don't run/close ur iTunes
2. Disconnect ur iPhone and connect it back
3. Run blackra1n and press "make i ra1n"
4. Press the power and home button at the same time, wait for iphone to boot up, continue to press both (power and home) buttons then u will see connect to iTunes (ignore it) after that u will see GeoHot's face on your iphone and you're back on track!

This method works for me after i tried it. hope it will help anyone facing the same problem too!

Can i straight install 3.01 instead installing 3.0 first?

What can I do if I clicked on the iTune update firmware for my jailbreak IPhone?

My phone is locked now and can't do anything at all. when I connect to iTune it shows "The SIM card inserted in this IPhone does not appear to be support"

You need to re-jailbreak your iPhone. Please do state which iPhone you have, so that methods or procedure to re-jailbreak and unlock your iPhone can be done. All i can say is that if you own a 3GS. You're screwed, cause you might have to stick to the original firmware and unlock the iPhone via internet.

I'm using IPhone 3G, I can't jail break it because my IPhone current firmware is 3.1.2

I have tried using blackra1n, it will stuck on "running" and I read up the reply from user said this is because my Iphone 3G hav updated a 3.1.2 firmware.
