Using iPhone 2G 1st Gen with V2.2 with modem firmware 04.05.04_G

would like to know am i able to upgrade to 3.1.2?

Quoted from first page:
"PwnageTool and redsn0w are not yet compatible with 3.1.2"

Any negative feedback so far? slow/hang?

Can i straight install 3.01 instead installing 3.0 first?
Is 3.1.2 save to install now?

guys...i have stuck at my redsnow...
im on 2G first gen iphone..
downloaded 3.01 at the first post and when everything goes smooth at iTunes, i start running redsnOw 0.8 and i get stuck at
" Unable to recognize specific IPSW" ? from 2.2 --> 3.01
what should i do now?

Im on Mac...i realized that custom IPSW can only works with iTUnes where im installing straight from 2.2 --> 3.01 IPSW

For redsnOw it only recognize original Apple IPSW ( my mistake) so manage to download IPSW 3.0 from the first page n google abit...

Anyway it works! and now im on 3.01

If you are stuck in "waiting for reboot...." while using redsn0w simply unplug and replug your usb cable. This works most of the time. [cpich3g - a DevTeam member]

haha nah..think im gonna to wait awhile n see whether 3.1.2 is stable anot

guys last night i have upgraded my 2.2 --> 3.0.1
found that this morning my battery went totally flat??? wired...

then this morning i bring my phone to office n charge...where i bring it out again..n its flat AGAIN...??

What should i do now? install 3.1.2? (im using 2G iPhone) or there's a fix for it?

Anyone mind enlighten me?

I though iPhone battery drain/ Apps crash are due to OS 3.1?
