Yes .. but only use it that way if you are not on a locked set. It is strange though that your apps will not sync with your IPhone.. does it give any error messages? Did you select it to sync the apps in the ITunes settings for your Iphone?

As I mentioned, balckra1n works flawlessly on winxp and win7. Do not use on vista. You will get stuck in recovery mode. Setting blackra1n to run on winxp mode does not solve the problem either.

His problem though, is not that he can't run it.. his problems is that his JB'd phone will not sync with his apps .... which to me sounds weird and it would help to know if there are any error messages from the syncing etc

and also, I ran blackra1n in Vista in administrator mode and I had no problems whatsoever.. hmm maybe it also depends on some other factors?

im using MAC... yes i did click on the sync button in Itunes... After the Itunes will prompt me an error msg..

Eh ok.. sorry if my question offends you and my full apologies if I am wrong, but are you using apps that you bought from ITunes store??

Can you explain what error is that?
If necessary, I suggest that you do a restore again and re-jailbreak either using blackra1n or pwnagetool (depending on your firmware and OS).

Since you are on MAC, Yes you may use that...

guys, i just jailbroke my i3gs from maxis using blackrain.. i realise by default the screen is now brighter.. anyone else having the same experience?

i think ur apps is not originally bought in appstore, if origally bought in appstore shouldnt have this problem

hi, i have a problem to sync my 32gb 3gs iphone(us set)

well i accidentally Update my phone with itunes from 3.0.1 to 3.1fw, and i lose my UNLOCK

so i couldnt downgrade to 3.0.1..and my phone was stuck at the emergence call mode

so i brought back to the seller and he help me open back the menu so i can use it like a ipod touch,
because there is no unlock for the 3gs on 3.1fw with baseband 05.11.07 yet.

so he did help me open the menu, and i test it( able to take photo,play games, connect to wifi)
he install lots of games and apps into my iphone tooo ~

just not unlock

then at home
i was trying to sync MORE movie or song or apps to my iphone with Itunes

but then it sed "please insert a simcard to activate ur iphone..in order to sync it"

modem fw: 05.11.07

cydia is installed in my IPHONE

then at cydia home has a " this device has a 3.1 ECID SHSH on file"

My missus Iphone 3G is a NZ Vodafone set and is officially unlocked.
Tried again tonite to JB using Blackra1n, so far after so many tries, UNSUCCESSFUL, anybody in the same boat with me trying to JB iphone 3G using blackrain?
If not I'm gonna leave it like that no JB what to do, exhausted already.

A friend of mine also just call me, he tried to JB his 3G in the office but same result. He check the blackra1n log and it seems it cannot detact the phone via the USB. I suggest that he use another PC. Yet to hear from him.

updating to 3.1.2 in itunes is too slow, if i download the firmware seperately, so in itunes i should click restore and find the 3.1.2 firmware in my computer?

did u kill the ituneshelper.exe process?

Instead of downald thro iTunes you basically directly download the ipsw to your PC and restore thro iTunes, right? Do you need to reactivate again?

One more thing, I m getting my phone tomorrow, will maxis activate the phone for us on the spot?

if you getting ur phone tomorrow from maxis, mostly they will come out box OS 3.1 and they will unlock it for you..
