Meaning u can goto your music folder & once playing any song, you have option to Transmit the song direct to your car Audio player...so no need to buy those MP3 FM transmitter, really all in one gadget....Currently only available on selected N-series phone starting from N78 onwards.. ..Too bad this 5800 do not hv this gadget!

& that the only disadvantage of this Nokia compare wth N78

wow !! i didn't know n78 have this FM transmitter feature !! no doubt that is very very useful !!

i'm actually trying to "add" this feature onto 5800 via lambda bl@st handsfree. Hopefully it will work out fine ...

you guys aren't missing out that much..the n78 and 79's fm transmitter is equally sucky..in the sense that it's too weak to even transmit a clear signal in the car

Hehe tnx for the clarification..yeap abit weak..U really need to raise the volume really loud..for eg..if u use to Volume 10, u need to increase to 18 to equally listen to the radio quailty sound..not CD ..I think all FM transmitter also the same...

Anyway, it's nice to have one in 5800 right... probably upgraded version. The FM107.50 in N78 probably clash wth another station, probably changing it to another empty chanel will solved the problem..? Well I din try b4 I sold off the phone..

Yes, you need a special cable which have both data cable and charging head,and it can be connected to pc. Refer to FP, got quite some accessories to select.

Ya, it's really nice to have a FM transmitter in 5800. So convenient...
Btw, anyone knows if the FM transmitter on the market works with 5800 ? those plug in car then plug in another USB drive d FM transmitter...maybe can connect through the data cable.

USB data cable alone won't work.. you need a USB cable that have a charger pin head on the end that connects to your phone.. as the 5800 doesn't have a micro USB charge module build in.. (or it's not enabled).. you can't just use a a usb cable with micro usb head.. check the FP.. there's a combo(sort of) cable that u can charge from USB..

Update: Actually there's also some china made multi-headed charger.. one of them should charge from usb to ur charger pin receiver..

suddenly it turns to silly teenny korean songs.. and i turn my head and see an ah beng knocking his head off in the car .. =.=... i have to rush pass the next traffic light to avoid being "koreanized" again.. good thing he's enjohying the song and don't bother speeding..

Just update to V21 this moarning. Love the breathing light, a bit fast than before.

only 2 phones from my memory have UDP its n82 and 5800 XM. Other old models when u update via NSU everything wipe off. So please get your facts right.

I also wish to know any "pasar malam'" got sell that cable or not

there is no usb charging for nokia 5800. It charge thru the 3.5mm port to USB

And also for a moment, the equalizer in the music player doesn't seem to respond either. No matter how I change it, and surfing between all of the preset EQs it sounded the same. I quit the music player and started it up again and it was fine though, it worked.

BTW loving the faster web browsing.

2mm rite.. 3.5mm is the audio port.. my sis almost wanna charge the phone plugging the 2mm into the 3.5mm audio port.. (She was a regular SE user.. tot nokia still using the 3mm charger port that was on her old old old 3100)..

Ya, some ppl are inconsiderate. Normally ppl will tune the channel to those that are empty, like, 87.5 maybe. But pls dun tune in to the channel that many ppl are listening, then you'll end up disturbing others. Anyway, he's got a powerful FM transmitter.

nah radio quality is always radio quality its better to just get a mp3 player or CD player to enjoy the FULL quality.
