The term over-the-air (OTA) provisioning describes the ability to download and install content over a wireless network, typically on demand. From the mobile client's perspective, in concept, OTA is simply a matter of finding an interesting application on the Web and initiating its download over the wireless network.

Meaning u can goto your music folder & once playing any song, you have option to Transmit the song direct to your car Audio player...so no need to buy those MP3 FM transmitter, really all in one gadget....Currently only available on selected N-series phone starting from N78 onwards..
& that the only disadvantage of this Nokia compare wth N78 QUOTE(tachlio @ Apr 29 2009, 10:49 AM) This post has been edited by stimix: Apr 29 2009, 10:57 AM |

you guys aren't missing out that much..the n78 and 79's fm transmitter is equally sucky..in the sense that it's too weak to even transmit a clear signal in the car

Hehe tnx for the clarification..yeap abit weak..U really need to raise the volume really loud..for eg..if u use to Volume 10, u need to increase to 18 to equally listen to the radio quailty sound..not CD
Anyway, it's nice to have one in 5800 right... @mikee...do update us on your FM transmitter project... QUOTE(he-sham @ Apr 29 2009, 11:49 AM) Yes, you need a special cable which have both data cable and charging head, and it can be connected to pc. Refer to FP, got quite some accessories to select._________________________________________________________________________________________ Ya, it's really nice to have a FM transmitter in 5800. So convenient... Btw, anyone knows if the FM transmitter on the market works with 5800 ? those plug in car then plug in another USB drive d FM transmitter...maybe can connect through the data cable. |

QUOTE(he-sham @ Apr 29 2009, 11:49 AM) USB data cable alone won't work.. you need a USB cable that have a charger pin head on the end that connects to your phone.. as the 5800 doesn't have a micro USB charge module build in.. (or it's not enabled).. you can't just use a a usb cable with micro usb head.. check the FP.. there's a combo(sort of) cable that u can charge from USB..Update: Actually there's also some china made multi-headed charger.. one of them should charge from usb to ur charger pin receiver.. QUOTE(fooken @ Apr 29 2009, 04:59 AM) Hey bro..im facing the same prob as u. The accelerometer doesnt seems to work after update. U did a soft reset? And also for a moment, the equalizer in the music player doesn't seem to respond either. No matter how I change it, and surfing between all of the preset EQs it sounded the same. I quit the music player and started it up again and it was fine though, it worked. anyway i've reset the phone and the accelerometer works again. i restored my previous backup then theres a popup to unlock the memory card. i've never set any passwd for the memory card since day 1. anyone can help here? ------------------------------------ Update : Problem solved! BTW loving the faster web browsing. |

But pls dun tune in to the channel that many ppl are listening, then you'll end up disturbing others. Anyway, he's got a powerful FM transmitter. |
