It's a bit late and been some time since I posted about me Guinea pig given birth and uploading the picture but here it is! the baby still very afraid of me and keep crying when I take picture of her. So I only snap 2 and left her alone....   Now I need to either get a. A bigger cage b. A homemade cage coz now got 4 guinea pig and they all eat A LOT! Haihz.... I might have to let go 2 of them either through adoption or sell. Anyone wanna take up 2 female guinea pig? edit: Also ah, remember that the GP baby leg got problem and bent over? Now heal liao. My piggie will only wheek at my when i give him vege..
Now our bonding is ok liao.. He do let's me to take him out when cleaning his cage...
Last time he was running here n there whenever i try to catch him out...

Just be patience lo...the piggie need time to bond one...one of my piggie dun like me to touch her one...she will jump far far away when i try to touch it...the other one is very bond to me and then will let me cuddle, hugs, and kiss her...she play hide and seek with me sometimes...kaka like a kid.your patience will pay back that is for sure... :)they are happy animals just tat one of my piggie is a little grumpy but never mind i am sure she will accept me soon.... Try to introduce Hay to them and need to be more patient.

Hi Carol, i got put hay inside the cage.. but my blackie will only pee poo at it.. So notti fella.. The timothy hay pellet is from oxbow.. He will only eat the pellet and fresh vege.. Very seldom see him eat the hay provided.. Or should i buy those hay cake for him?

Maybe for breakfast time you just feed him hay, and later afternoon or evening after he finish it only you feed the vege n pellets. If they are hungry, sure eat one..haha

As long as you have provide him hay, i think is ok lah....maybe sometimes u can provide less pallet and fresh veges,so that he will take the hay when he feel hungry. I used to do that last time when both Jingle and Jasper dont really eat Timothy hay but only take Alfalfa hay. I reduce the Alfalfa hay and pallets and stop giving fresh veges for 1 day and when they feel hungry, they will go and take the Timothy hay because that their only choice. I trained them to take more Timothy hay is because i know too much of Alfalfa hay will cause bleeder stone(for Adult gp).

The other day all 4 of my guinea pig diarrhea when i was outstation for 3 days. My nephew been feeding them carrots and apples, so the whole cage become a big pool of s***.
I cleaned up the cage and the feed them hay only for the past 3 days. Morning hay, afternoon hay. No more fruit for them for now. And tarak diarrhea already.
Anyway, who wanna adopt Guinea pig? Only for lovable family.

Guys please take note.. apples are to be given as treats and given sporadically.. not too often.. Make sure to take out all seeds too! Maximum per day is about 2-3 slices~ per pig.. Ok will stop feeding him vege in the morning.. Hopefully he'll eat more hay so that he be healthier..  Thinking of buying those oxbow timothy hay cake for him.. |
