finally i saw few other forumers commented on their trip to cameron and genting....... the main point given is not on their engine power or how fast they can reach destination, but the feeling of their family members can enjoy and comfortable in the car....... this make me impress...... but hopefully no regret later.......

for petrol consumption wise, it is acceptable or compatible on highway and even up to the hill, but city drive, really a concern with RM0.20-RM0.26/km (depend on driving style).

Good point, doesn't matter if you can get to the top fast bust all the rear passenger puke all the way... laugh.gif

the Exora has no problem going up to Genting with 6 adult / some lugage on board in 3rd gear smile.gif
of course, it was a struggle in D sweat.gif the air-con automatically cut off to accomodate the extra strain on the engine.
btw, i'd rather turn off the air-con and wind down the windows for a cold Genting wind thumbup.gif

Avanza 1.5G too, has to be in lower gear with 5 adult on board. good thing the Avanza's torque is available at lower rpm while the typical Campro cps in Exora need to be push beyond 3.5k rpm to get the best out of the engine.
but the Exora is far more comfortable on a long journey. especially when you are sitting at the back.
the leaf spring in Avanza's rear is a turn off doh.gif

sorry my bad. blush.gif mistaken 'em with the bigger vigo tongue.gif
it was a combination of the robust 4-link coil spring and the rigid axle that somehow contribute to the bumpy(or responsive tongue.gif ) ride at the rear.
the trick is; put as much people at the back and the ride will be less bouncy thumbup.gif
the good thing with Avanza; it's a rwd.

btw, when will Proton find a solution for the power hungry air-con on Campro variant? doh.gif

Does anyone notice that the Proton Campro engine is still using old type distributor. Why Proton still stick with those old tech since all new cars have been changed and using distributorless engine.  hmm.gif

deep down inside, campro is nothing. if you ask anyone what campro technology comprises of, they cant answer you. how is campro compared to vtec or vvti, average person wont know. still most ppl are proud of campro and they know nothing. This is Malaysia.

read my other post...i personally tested it on the way up to genting.
the exora's air-con will automatically turn off to cater for more power when the engine is pushed.
what i meant was; compared to other proton variant, there is a noticeable drop in power when the air-con on any campro based is turn into full blast + noticeable increase in fc too smile.gif

Sat in it. Drove it around the block once.
Nothing extraordinary to shout about.

Interior space is good. But not its design.

this feature is already available in gen2 campro. (i'm driving one)
it is not that when you climb hill, but the air-cond compressor will turn off when you press pedal max to floor so the load is reduce.
the air-cond fan/blower is still on.
