QUOTE(Niv86 @ May 25 2009, 10:17 PM) i think the current MPV below 100k cant really accelerate like sport cars(most ppl expecting them to do) Yup, most of under Rm100k can't much accelerate fast.MPV 1st objective is 5-7 person mover with a very safe body which can stand direct impact, and body roll. others are just subjective to all owners or potential buyers. what type of vehicle with full load u also will get underpower. but since it running slow...mean safer rite? But for me the best pick-up MPV is Estima.1st edition with supercharger or the smaller Emina/Lucida |

the best comparison is exora and avanza 1.5, price different by 4K (70K vs 74K for airbag +ABS), interest different by 1% (3.5 vs 2.38), discount different by 3K (include trade in price), engine different (campro CPS vs vtt-i).....
I have test drive yesterday exora and plan to test drive avanza as well next few day... I drive up a small hill slope (less than 45 degree with bump at half way of the slope) and 3 ppl in car, feel slightly underpower but suspension not bad... the gear slightly hard to switch, and pick up slightly slow (but ok for me as polite driver Added on June 13, 2009, 2:39 pmtemporary still don't have chance to have a look on the light (front and rear). I remember many years ago, i took a bus went up Genting...halfway the Bus cannot go up already and actually GOING BACKWARDS!!!! So everyone have to come down from the bus and wait for other buses to pick us up. I hope the Exora doesn't comes to that on full load. |

I want to know if Exora can reach Genting Highland resort.
Come on, give it a go. The whole Malaysia is waiting! Please include the number of passangers (adult/kid). Frankly, I believe Exora need the Perdana 2.0 V6 engine. Anyone is doing this project? |

QUOTE(unknown warrior @ May 18 2009, 03:14 PM) Whatever, I don't give a jack#### about Proton models. Akkk.... I can say that proton quality control is totally horrible. Gen2 the worst car ever made by Malaysian. Malaysia politician know nuts about automobile industry. They produce cheapskate car with the worst quality material. I don't know why proton keep on scamming the citizen of Malaysia. They been cheating Malaysian for 10 over years. Now they bribe TUV to prove to the nation. TUV is nothing, the quality of the material in proton car still NO quality and cheap. Durability fail. I can't believe proton have the balls to beg with VW as partners just to enter SEA market. VW gona lose lots of customer with the defect produce by Proton aka Malaysian hand. Proton QC is worst than China QC. Gen2 is a total failure. Campro engine and 16v cam with out a pro. What kind of engine is it. Only dumb fools will get it. |

You know why we buy Proton.
Simple - cheap and pride. In maybe true that its quality is below of the other brands like Toyota. But back in your father or grandfacther days, you know what did they said about Japanese cars? Why is Malaysia is taking so long to improve, you may ask? Look around you, we have youngster who prefer to be Mat Rempit/Bohsia/Lepak and etc. We have many Bangla/Indon in our country because our own people productivity are so low. We have a people issue here, not just Proton. We need to get the younger generation to be involved in out country fundamentals. More action, more focus and way less politicking |

Btw, just for info, the TUV thing was a lie. The Savvy never did get a TUV...it was "under review"...and probably didn't pass the test....I can't find the Savvy anymore in TUV's website...it was there previously. http://www.tuvdotcom.com/pi/web/legal.xml?...geChanged=en-us But still, I love my Savvy!! finally i saw few other forumers commented on their trip to cameron and genting....... the main point given is not on their engine power or how fast they can reach destination, but the feeling of their family members can enjoy and comfortable in the car....... this make me impress...... but hopefully no regret later.......
for petrol consumption wise, it is acceptable or compatible on highway and even up to the hill, but city drive, really a concern with RM0.20-RM0.26/km (depend on driving style). |
